I hear a lot of commentary about how Africans/blacks have no history, how they haven't contributed technology or inventions, but I seriously doubt many have even read or tried to research to see if that claim is true.

Reading western textbooks doesn't really apply since we all know who education is controlled by in this country.

I find it hard to believe that any real racists would pick up a book written about black ppl being that they hate us so much.

The bible makes clear that while there might be LOTS of gods, "God" is the Head God. Not sure if they had a vote or what, but there you go...

I heard this story of a guy who was calling one and the arch-angel got out of his circle. The angel entered him and dragged him to his father's bedroom, took out his 45 cal. pistol, loaded it, put the gun to his head and pulled the trigger. The guy lived and when he related this story (on coast to coast am) he was shaking like a leaf?

Who came up with this practice and why is it accepted even though God clearly forbids contacting spirits. Deut.18:11.?

I'm mainly curious about who brought this about. God certainly doesn't like it so one must wonder why they do it.

out loud to my face, and I didn't even know her. Then she goes on to say how people are pigs and animals in a mean tone of voice, and how people steal left and right, basically being mean and nasty.

I graciously came up to her and smiled and told her up front you are a very beautiful lady with a nice personality. She looked down at the floor nearly choked and tears came to her eyes. Was I a class act or what? Kindness does kill ha!

Just one Q, can mental illness make you nasty or do you think she was mean like this all her life?

The term 'troll', as used on the internet, didn't come from fairy tale trolls. It came from a method of fishing. Later, it was used to describe men who hung out in mens rooms trying to attract homosexuals.

On the internet, that mens room analogy came into use because what trolls did so resembled the trolling in mens rooms.

On YQA RS followers of the evangelical atheism faith, and some who claim to have scientific knowledge gravitate to this QA to indulge in the 'trolling' mens room behavior, though they deny it.

But they claim they have no faith.

Seems to me they troll here for several possible motives,

1] They admit by default to their faith,
2] They're just intellectual pigmies who've been kicked around all their lives and want to anonymously be smug and condescending, or
3] They're silly, nosy busybodies who actually care what beliefs strangers embrace.

What do you think?

Citing religious texts results in circular logic.

Example: The Bible says that God is real and God inspired the Bible.
Example II: The Quran says that God is real and God inspired the Quran.

This is circular logic and is therefore flawed.

Please, no jargon about how I am an evil atheist, no attacks on evolution or science as I didn't mention evolution or science. Please, no testimonies about how you felt god as your feelings are not proof of anything.

The last three times I have asked this question I have received rambling emotional testimonies and people pointing out the complexity of the life as proof. These things are not proof. One person actually cited religious text at me and several others left an unrelated comment about how the Bible predates the Quran. If you want to play that game, Zoroastrianism predates Christianity.

Please, no comments about how I should study the scripture, I've read the bible several times, it's exactly as invalid as every other religious text.

I have been an atheist for about 5 years now... I haven't told my parents only some of my close friends know. I believe that my being an atheist is a personal choice and that it doesn't matter what other's think. However... my parents have been asking me repeatedly why I never go to church with them... I lie and say I'm sick and other things like that... I can't help but feel I am being unfair to them...

I am however afraid of their reactions if I do tell them...

So my question is...

Do I tell my parents? (yes then how)

okay some one of you said that christians are not anti-science and creationist. so that does makes you ANTI - GENESIS because how can you not be ANTI - SCIENCE when SCIENCE own 2 sources which are the big bang and evolution. anyway i am not going to waste my time because everyone knows what science academy teaches.

A while back I asked a question on whether people should celebrate Christmas if they do not believe in Jesus and I got a bunch of anwsers about the christians taking it from the pagans...but I didn't ask about the date I don't care about that I am talking about the actual holiday CHRISTMAS...so same question just with that more information.
