out loud to my face, and I didn't even know her. Then she goes on to say how people are pigs and animals in a mean tone of voice, and how people steal left and right, basically being mean and nasty.
I graciously came up to her and smiled and told her up front you are a very beautiful lady with a nice personality. She looked down at the floor nearly choked and tears came to her eyes. Was I a class act or what? Kindness does kill ha!
Just one Q, can mental illness make you nasty or do you think she was mean like this all her life?

Bev, I didn't do a thing, just happened to be in the same room at the wrong time. She was judging and criticizing everyone and evythng.

She sounds mentally ill, but plenty of people are not and are nasty anyway. Sounds like she was just taking stuff out on you not as an individual, but as a symbol of something that distubs her. Good response though.

If you blame being nasty on mental illness then everyone will use that as an excuse and be nastier. She was probably having a bad day.
