k, but it's kinda long.
My teacher's brother has a friend who just moved to an old house in Kentucky. He has a dog named Bogie (that's a diff. story). The guy needed people to watch his house and Bogie for the week. So my teacher's brother (and some other friends) were there. The other 3 left, cause thay couldn't stay the whole night. Then a 2am the guy started hearing whispers "pss. get down, get down". Then bogie started Barking. He's a photographer, so he brought his equipment in and set it to go off rapid flash whenever there was movement. Then Bogie started jumping in the air at nothing. Then there were 3 big flashes of light and loud sounds like cannonballs. The camera didn't catch anything. He tested it outside and it worked fine, but inside it wouldn't work. So he kept hearing the noises all night. In the morning the investigators came and found out that the house was built near a civil war battle field, and the house was used as a stop on the underground railroad.

I have alot of things to do with ghosts today. I had my first ghostly encounter when I was 5 years ago and the encounters have not stopped yet as an adult. I also live in a haunted house today that my husband and I bought 10 years ago. Seeing a ghost at 5 can be just as scary as seeing something as an adult. I now and have belonged to a Paranormal Group and do investigations for others who are having problems with ghosts and spirits or poltergeists in their homes or busnises's. Let's put it this way, if a ghost doesn't want to be seen, you will not see one. I think one of the scariest investigations I have done is one we did at an old grain Mill that is still in business today and the owner wanted to know what was going on at that Mill. This Mill had alot of other old buildings that we had to go through as well. We left the large Mill building until last. We started in the basement first there and just getting to that basement was very dangerious to get to but our group made it down safely. We asked them to have someone connected with this Mill to help with the investigation. This Mill was very large and the basement was just as large and we did it lights out as we do with all of our other ones. We did have the lights on when we first went down to make sure we were the only ones in that basement that belonged there. Then we formed a circle and held hands tightly and we have people trained on the outside of the group who are trained at other things. In the middle of the circle we had one small white cankle lit and if you looked anywhere else but around where the light of the candle you could see nothing at all. It did not take long for things to start happening in that basement. Something tried to break our hold on hands we were holding and it was not easy to not let go but we held on and it did not make it into the middle of the circle. It tried getting through where I was and where there was ones on the other side of the circle. Questions were being asked during the whole time all this was going on. Then someone behind me stroked my hair and it was not to hurt me but felt very strange. There were lights that would flash a pale white light where the conveyer took the grain down to the part that ground up the grain. There were no light switches anywhere near that area. These lights would make different motions each time they appeared. Then it got so cold down there that our hands and bodies got so cold our hands hurt. But we held on tight. We have an EMF reader and we have never had it spike a 10 before that night. There was nothing metal or electrical to have it spike that high so we know then we were dealing with something pretty large and strong. Knowing that got to me and I just want this investigation to end soon. But, if this is what I chose to do with others than I had to grit my teeth and remember we were there to help out someone else. We had a person in the group who started acting like a baby and was a sudden embarassment to the whole group and she wanted the lights on and she wanted to go outside and wait. Sorry, no one ever goes anywhere for safety purposes and she had to start to act the adult she was and it really did sound like she was doing this all on purpose because she wanted a ciggerette and that was all. Well, she upset the whole group and I am the only one in the circle that said anything about her behavior and it was not to do with any ghost around her or anything like that. We are all well trained to know if that should happen to anyone in the group. I chose to not help myself in what I said and I told whatever it was to pull Amanda's hair, which it did and it broke the ice for people to chill out a little and we were able to laugh about it and she shut-up and we did hear that kindof childishness from her again. What I did to her I would do to myself also. Whatever was done there, had no intention of hurting anyone just to be a bother and get in the way. It came back over to me and stroked my hair and lightly blew in my ear. It did that 2 a couple of other females as well as the men in the circle made it quite clear not to even try it with them. And it did not. Of course, what are you going to do to a ghost? I think they have the upper hand. The ones outside the circle are the ones who take the pictures and do the EMF readings and make sure everyone in the group is okay. It was very scary that night as it was deemed haunted. Well over 300 pictures were taken and the 2 from the Mill had infra-red night vision and things were caught on tape. Plus we had our own personal experiences and we had 4 digital recorders going the whole time to record what we said and for us to be able to hear what they wanted to say. We finally said the prayer we do and then broke the circle and turned on the lights. Trust me I made sure I was one of the ones closest to the light switch and the very narrow stairway. Better safe than sorry!! When all got together to review everything from all the equipment, there were no pictures and the video tape was all snowy and my tape recorder that was in the middle of the circle was the only one to pick anything up and it was only 3 seconds long. It was a woman's voice and all we got from was " she's at Corky Lake". Nothing else nor do we know do we know who is at Corky Lake and whiy. No one had ever heard of a Corky lake in Michigan so we all went on the Web and we all came up with the same place. There is a Corky Lake in Wisconsin. Now we want to know why she said what she did so we have been asking anyone in that Village if they know anyone from Corky Lake and did they know if anyone connected to the Mill was from there or visited that area. So far we have come up with nothing but we won't quit trying to find out that answer. Ghosts have a good reputation for destroying evedence. This is something that has happened to us before and we know it has happened to other groups as well. They can drain brand new batteries in the cameras, taperecorders and flashlights.
Even though I have lived with it all of my life I love what I am doing and I love helping out others as well.
