Can you cite some biblical references specifically for why God would cause you to go through periods of solitude? I am struggling with maintaining some relationships at church and wondering if God is purposefully putting me by myself so that I am totally reliant on Him.

for example we can trace the history of this doctrine,&discover its source, not in the Christian revelation, but in the Platonic philosophy..the Trinity is not a doctrine of Christ & his apostles, but a fiction of the school of the later Platonists.(for more go to google on the article: The Lost Doctrine of Christianity:the doctrine of the Trinity.

Many people are trying to justify the many marriages for prophet Muhammed (11 wives + 2 concubines). Some said it was for political reasons, others said it was for humanity reasons ... the list goes on.

What surprises me is that through my reading in Islamic history I found out that ALL the companions of prophet Muhammed used to have more than one wife. Some examples are Abu Bakr (3 wives), Omar (9 wives), Ali (4 wives), Othman (3 wives)... etc.

What was the reason for all those marriages?

This is an update on a question I posed several weeks ago when UPS said they would not extend health benefits to gays that joined under NJ civil union laws.

Here is the new story

http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2007-07-30-ups-civil-unions_N.htm?csp=34

I especially like this statement:

"We have received clear guidance that, at least in New Jersey, the state truly views civil union partners as married," said Allen Hill, UPS's senior vice president for human resources.

lets say that a chirstian woman gave birth to a baby with extreme deformities. after being alive for a few days, the baby dies, unbaptized. where would this baby go- heaven or hell??
i am sure that God, being a loving God, would not condemn the innocent child to hell (it isnt the baby's fault adam sinned)
but anyway, what is your take on this?

Or is this a Christian drinking question?

I don't believe in a devil - the idea does not make sense to me. I'm technically agnostic, but I consider myself a monotheist as well and if you accept that everything is God's plan, then you have to trust that sometimes evil is a part of that plan. Belief in a devil makes you polytheistic, IMHO.

Like if you see them in one group and they are walking on the street towards you or just hanging out near your house, do you get scared or frightened? Especially the ones that wear goth and punk rock clothes?

Even the theory of evolution states man and APE descended from a common ancestor. It never says we evolved from monkeys.
Could not an ape evolve from a more humanoid common ancestor instead of man evolving from a more ape like ancestor?
So why do you insist we came from a monkey?

What are some Bible passages relating to purgatory and/or limbo? I can't seem to find any.

On YA, whenever I mention anything regarding the fact that it's an invention of Catholosism (and any other faiths), which use it as a crutch to answer difficult questions, my answers get quite a few "thumbs down".

With all those thumbs down, those people MUST know something I don't. Please point me in the right direction.

Note: I know there is a difference, but the two terms seem to be used interchangibly, and they are indeed fairly similar.
