Or is this a Christian drinking question?

I don't believe in a devil - the idea does not make sense to me. I'm technically agnostic, but I consider myself a monotheist as well and if you accept that everything is God's plan, then you have to trust that sometimes evil is a part of that plan. Belief in a devil makes you polytheistic, IMHO.

Finally a spark of wisdom coming from this section. You have exactly the right idea. In my spirituality our dieties are capable of good, capable of mischief, and have masculine and feminine traits just like normal people.

God is not everywhere, so He's not in Satan. If you believe that anyone who exercises power over anything is a god, then I guess I can see where you are coming from in saying it's a polythetic belief. But that would make all of us gods, wouldn't it? Satan does not exist outside of the faculties given to him by God, anymore than you or I do. We all have the power to make choices, Satan included. That doesn't make him a god.

As Muslims, we believe that Satan is merely one of the jinn, or spirit beings, created by God. He doesn't have any special powers that other jinn don't have, but he is dedicated to using them to misguide us.

Islam and Christianity believe that Satan is one of God's angels who is permitted by God to tempt men. This is demonstrated in the Book of Job (in the Jewish writings), so I assume that Jews believe this as well. The angels are created beings, part of God's creation. I think your point refers to the fact that they are supernatural agents of God, outside the constraints of time & space. But Muslims, Christians and Jews would believe that God willed this.

God and Satan sometimes sit under a canopy and play cards and drink watermelon juice, and make wagers. The butt of their wagers is always humankind.

God never claimed to be everywhere. He only claimed to be able to see everywhere, but that is doubtful. Satan claims the same thing.

I've always considered Satan to be merely an extension of God rather than a serpate entity.

If God is everywhere, he must also be in Kiddie Porn as well.

Either God is in Kiddie Porn, or God is not everywhere.
