I heard Rosetta Stone and Tell Me More are good, is that true? Do you know of any others?

Yes, Rosetta Stone is good; also Berlitz. If you can, listen to German radio stations, read their newspapers. There are several stations and newspapers in the States.
Then, speak with the Germans.

I got myself Learn German the fast and fun way by Barron's educational series inc It is not a software, may be they have it now I got mine some time ago and it really works

Actually i have used Rosetta Stone, and some other programs as well, but none even compared to the Pimsleur method of learning. It had me speaking and actually remembering phrases in a matter of minutes. This site explains more about it and also gives you a free lesson.
