None is more true or more believable-to dream about death usually foretells--separation, alienation, rebirth, or release and a repeated vision might be a day-dream requesting you meditate and release the clouded thinking, or invalid beliefs about death, for example. Recurrences of the dream or vision signify the urgency of the issue.

Truth is relative - the truth that matters is the one that's true for you.
Of course, if we're talking about solid facts than that's different.
Remember though that dreams are symbols and a death, much like the tarot 'death' card often indicates transformation, a moving from one area to another.
