Everyone had good points. I learned languages because I like people and different cultures. If we're going to attempt to make the world a safer place, we need to understand our neighbors.

It´s a richness to know different languages Despite of what languages we speak, we are quite similar, we love, we hate,we have all human feelings. Speaking a foreign language we learn to know different cultures, learn to know that people speaking other languages, are quite like ourselves. By understanding other people, there would perhaps not be so many wars on this earth, I really hope so!

Research shows that people who are bilingual and speak both languages every day live longer than people who only speak one language.

I personally think that it helps you understand other cultures, because language differences, even subtle ones, give clues as to the way people think differently than you do. Plus, you can communicate with tons of people who you normally wouldn't be exposed to. Also, if you go on vacation, you won't end up unable to find a bathroom or eating something scary.

Language is much more than a chain of words. Each language has got its very own way of recognizing, deduction, thinking, and expressing. A language is forming a mentality. To understand languages is to understand mentalities.

Comment:
Before you can really speak, you should learn to spell and use the spell checker if available [should also used proper grammar: "....to talk different languages"? Correction: "....to speak in different languages? "]. Like most people really don't here. It's hard to post and have someone respond when it's not spelled correctly or when grammar's used incorrectly because people might or might not understand your question.

excerise your brain? I believe you meant "exercise your brain"?

Please do not type too fast. It would only help you spell incorrectly.
Thank you.

The previous adage remains genuine: the customer is often suitable.
