I couldn't help but notice that an unborn child is not equal to or same as the mother's body. The unborn child has his own body... his own heart, his own blood and blood type and so on. So, why all this talk about, "it's my body"? Once a woman becomes pregnant, she has a living body inside of her, connected only through the placenta.

I hear a lot of "keep your religion out of MY laws & MY schools".. they're mine too. I'm not standing here telling you that you have to believe what I believe. I just want the right to be able to say One nation under God & for kids to have the right to talk about God when they're asked by a teacher "what are your views on the war, abortion, abuse, etc".

Why is it that a teacher can say I'm gay & it changed my life!" & his/her job is protected, but if one says "I got saved & it changed my life!" they can be fired? (some of my best friends are gay, they also know that I'm a Christian & we talk about both sides of it without getting pissy).

Christians don't support cloning as a means of scientific research... if cloning was banned, is that Christianity's fault (I personally know non-Christians that also think cloning is wrong)?

Fanatics and unfairness are coming from both sides people. As for me and my house,we will serve the Lord.

all of a sudden since we took Him out of our schools and out of government why are there now school shootings and why do they seem to happen more often now.. and also why does it seem like kids these days aren't really learning morals like I did when I was a kid.. and I am only 29 years old, but I grew up in a simpler time where not too much was happening and you never heard of school shootings. Emo wasn't even heard of. Kids just dealt with their problems or actually saw a therapist or counselor of sorts. Nowadays they bottle stuff up inside and cry about it all the time and take it out on their classmates in a violent manner.. Like that one guy in Virginia who recently shot up his college.. Uh yeah they all picked on me and blah blah I never made friends blah blah blah so I took it out on my classmates and many other people.. Dude seriously get a life and forget about it thats what I have to say about it.

“For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass the law until all is accomplished. Whoever then relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:18-19 RSV)

"It is easier for Heaven and Earth to pass away than for the smallest part of the letter of the law to become invalid." (Luke 16:17 NAB)

"Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill. Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest part or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place." (Matthew 5:17 NAB)

We all know the stories about the disciples in the boat. But here is something that we may overlook, or might not catch. Luke 8:22, "Now it came to pass on a cerain day, that Jesus went into a ship with His disciples: and He said unto them, 'Let us go over unto the other side of the lake.' And they launced forth." Now we know what happens after this, a storm blows up, the boat is starting to sink. They go and get Jesus, and He rebuked the winds and waves. And He says to them in verse 25, "Where is your faith?" or I believe the account in Matthew says, "O ye of little faith." Now that is the story, and you might say that is to show that Christ had power over nature, which He did, but there is more. God orders the steps of the righteous, and if Jesus says that we are going, we are going to get there. In this story Jesus said that they WERE going to the other side, it didn't matter whether there was a storm or not. If God says it that settles it. All we need to do is have faith.

are called cats, birds & etc. ; and no human has superiority
over another by being smaller , bigger , better or "so called
God's chosen people" ?
Can you understand that this unjust & discriminatory &
racist claim has made millions of non Hebrews very angry ?
Now that we see the religion has become race , would you
claimers(Hebrews & Christians) honorably appologize others?

Is this when the zombies, like in Dawn of the Dead, will attack? Should I start stashing non-parishable food in my attic?

OR!!!(better yet) should I buy a few acres of land, have a well, and make a garden and have a bunch of fertilizers...and of course build like a 50 foot high concrete wall and the only way in is with a rope ladder!

In my own way I feel happy when I see some trying so hard to anger us. I feel that they are getting frustrated by society progression towards a more open minded accepting nature. With less and less bigotry they have to shout louder and louder to be heard. What is your opinion on this matter?

The Christians' objection to this argument involves freewill. They say that a being must have freewill to be happy. The omnibenevolent God did not wish to create robots, so he gave humans freewill to enable them to experience love and happiness. But the humans used this freewill to choose evil, and introduced imperfection into God's originally perfect universe. God had no control over this decision, so the blame for our imperfect universe is on the humans, not God.

Here is why the argument is weak. First, if God is omnipotent, then the assumption that freewill is necessary for happiness is false. If God could make it a rule that only beings with freewill may experience happiness, then he could just as easily have made it a rule that only robots may experience happiness. The latter option is clearly superior, since perfect robots will never make decisions which could render them or their creator unhappy, whereas beings with freewill could.

Jesus is quoted many times in the Bible saying that a believer can ask for anything through prayer and receive it. He even goes so far as to say that mountains and trees can be thrown into the sea simply by praying for it. This is clearly a lie, and can be proven to be a lie by any believer.

And Jesus answered and said to them, "Truly I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, `Be taken up and cast into the sea,' it will happen. "And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive." (Matthew 21:21-22 NAS)
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. (Matthew 7:7-8 NAB)

Why are there so many posers in this thread?

Atheists. Why do you spend so much time in religion? You don’t believe in it move on. The only logical reason you people spend so much time in here is because you all crave attention and need to feel hated upon because in real life everyone accepts you (well for the most part) You all seem to want to be victimized which is a whole other topic in itself. You spend all your efforts trying to prove that something isn’t there. That’s like saying I know Bigfoot doesn’t exists I haven’t seen him. If that was the case then in my world Australians would be extinct, because the only one I have ever known is dead.

Wiccan/witches/whatever. You all seem to claim that you are peaceful and not judgmental. You people are the single most judgmental people in all of Y!A. You try and teach us all about your way of life and the majority of you do not even know it yourself. True wiccans consider it an insult to be called witches.

I have noticed that most people who answer questions with really ugly comments have their email address blocked. I feel that if they are brave enough to make nasty statements, they should be brave enough to accept responses. I feel that Yahoo should not give anyone the option of blocking their email address once they join this site because that gives abusers the ok to make ugly and rude statements and laugh because they don't have to listen to responses.

the SAME evidence, the same facts. We all have the same earth, fossil layers, animals, plants, stars etc. that we use to prove that God does or doesn't exist.

The difference is the way that we all interpret the facts. We interpret them differently because we start with different presuppositions or axioms.

So chill out with the angry and rude responses jeesh! Don't know why you're getting all hot and bothered :) I'm seeing a lot of "PROVE IT!" flying across here.

I'm sure I'll get a lot of arguments and questions arising from my own, but I'm not debating this one people. We DO have the same facts, it's all how we interpret them. I for one will continue to say that God exists, and you will never change my mind. Peace. :)
