We all know the stories about the disciples in the boat. But here is something that we may overlook, or might not catch. Luke 8:22, "Now it came to pass on a cerain day, that Jesus went into a ship with His disciples: and He said unto them, 'Let us go over unto the other side of the lake.' And they launced forth." Now we know what happens after this, a storm blows up, the boat is starting to sink. They go and get Jesus, and He rebuked the winds and waves. And He says to them in verse 25, "Where is your faith?" or I believe the account in Matthew says, "O ye of little faith." Now that is the story, and you might say that is to show that Christ had power over nature, which He did, but there is more. God orders the steps of the righteous, and if Jesus says that we are going, we are going to get there. In this story Jesus said that they WERE going to the other side, it didn't matter whether there was a storm or not. If God says it that settles it. All we need to do is have faith.

Friend, I get your point of view and I do believe. I don't want to throw in any buts at this time, cause we all have things we go through that we need to see the hands of the Lord work in....my frustrations come when it seems it is from more than one side, like things for me right now. I will hold onto the hand of God and know He will see me through, and I will exercise my faith through the pain...I praise God for your question tonight and you be blessed for sharing such energetic love for our Lord...that blesses me. No matter what we must go forward for our God!!!

Luk 8:22 Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth.
Luk 8:23 But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy.
Luk 8:24 And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.
Luk 8:25 And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him

You have misunderstood the verses and trying to prov e your very wrong logic. Jesus was asking his disciples about their faith in Him as a powerful God because inspite of the fact that those disciples was with Him(Jesus), they still doubt that they may be perish to the sea.You are trying to prove your logic that you are a very intelligent minded person but you have almost entirely changed the words of the bible in those verses which only prove that you are below average man who is even trying to philosophized the verses which is the word of God..Will you read further to understrand it very well?

I do believe that God never gives me more than I can handle. He's given me alot, believe me. I think it was Mother Theresa who said " God never gives us more than we can handle, I just wish he didn't trust me so much!"

This alone has carried me through some REALLY tough things. My friend are always telling me how amazingly well I handle these "crisis" situations. I have to tell them that I am not the one handling it, God is.
