Yes - but only if they DON'T ask to cut in front of me!
If they EXPECT to be let to the front of the line, then they have NO respect for the kind gesture that you were about to perform...
Doing something nice for a complete stranger can REALLY brighten your day - but when someone pushes their way through the line like that, it just makes you feel hateful and jaded inside... Suddenly the great day you were having is instead replaced by muttering and cursing under your breath - which then affects ALL those around you.

I will let one person ahead of me that may have a few items when I have a cart full. More than one and you could be there all day letting people cut the line because they are buying less than you.

Yes. I do the bulk of my shopping once every two weeks, so I usually have a very full cart. I've let as many as 4 people in line in front of me because I know I'd hate to be stuck behind someone with as much stuff as I buy.

Yes. I actually learned that from my husband. Before him I was very young and not real observant. My husband is so kind and considerate and generous, I've learned a lot from him over the past 30 years. (our 30th was just a couple days ago. July 29th ,1977. All together now: AAAWWWWW....) Anyway , yes, is the answer to the question. Without fail. :)

Yes It's nice when people are considerate of each other, being a mum of 2 sometimes I'd go to the supermarket people would let me go first and I was very appreciative of how nice they were, and i do the same x :)

Depends...
1- if I have the time to wait.
2- if I'm in the "self-check" aisle.
3- if I'm in the "speed" line with many items, well... I shouldn't be there!
Otherwise, No.

If the person has a kind face, i will.. If the person acts like a rude jerk (impatiently shifting their body from side to side or sighing), i go ahead and pay for my groceries... but most of the time i do.

I think that is why they created the express lane. If they got behind me and saw me with my cart full of groceries then they know what they got into when they chose that lane. But i think i may have let someone through once or twice. But i wait my turn and they should wait theirs.

I am more likely the person to only have one item, but I wouldn't have a problem returning the favor.

Yes. It's only one thing, won't hurt my watch. And I know how much it sucks to wait for the person in front of me unload 100+ items when I only have one.
