Alot of christians say that by allowing homosexuals to marry they are distroying the sacred institution of marriage. I dont see how this fits the bill : i mean how often do you hear a woman saying "oh, look at Bill and John, I wish we had a relationship like theirs". The real threat to marriage is divorce. If you want to protect marriage why dont you ask the government to make it final instead of denying it to other people who dont fit your definition of morally correct?? If you did this people would think twice about getting married too fast. But there probably would be alot more murdered spouses too. Just a thought.

Jn 1:3 says that Jesus created "all things", but in Isa 44:24, God says that he "by myself created the heavens and the earth" and asks the question "Who was with me?" when the heavens and the earth were created. How can this be since if Jesus had been created by God, then he would have been with God when everything else was created?

without getting the "look". Divorces were whispered about, got back-handed in church for giggling and running in the store (if you got to go). If you got biffed in public people looked at your folks with a sign of approval (no calling welfare), a shame to be on welfare and take commidities. Had to bring your date home for approval (no honking and you running out) came straight in when the porch light flashed! Child predators were taken care of by the men and never talked about. We burned our trash because we didn't know about the ozone but we took good care of it and didn't know it Picked blackberries with 3 layers of clothes on in the heat and bathed in clorox! We didn't even think about talking back or calling our parents if we got caught doing wrong (tried to hide it)?

Someone once told me that it is offensive to wear a set of rosary beads as a necklace, or hang them from your rearview mirror in your car...

Is this a myth or do religious people find it offensive?

In christianity...you have a God that wants blood sacrifices in the old testament. In the new testament you have a god that needed the blood of jesus to wash away everyones sins. A god that has a talking snake, bush and donkey, A god thats best idea to populate a world was putting two people on it so that their kids would have to commit incest.
So there you have it, a church with blood sacrifices, talking animals and incest...plus countless murders by the god.....what else could you possibly call your beliefs other than a cult?

I have a graveyard behind my school and the passage through the place is paved with stones on which names of dead people for 1800s and 1900s are engraved, sometimes with the mentioning of Jesus. People use this passage quite frequently. I feel there is something odd in walking on people names and on the name of Jesus? What do you think?

If you were going somewhere and your child wanted to ask a friend to come along, who typically pays? I've always felt that if I invite another child along with us that it's my treat but a couple times lately friends of my children have called and invited them places and then their moms tell me "but we need you to pay for xxxxx's ticket". Now I'm always planning to send the money along for my kids and insisting on paying their way anyway but I just think it's odd for them to have their child call and invite my child with the expectation that if my child accepts that we will be coming up with money. What if I didn't have the money to pay my child's way and your child has already invited my child and my child has accepted? I guess that when I'm expected to shell out $$ to send my child somewhere I prefer to be asked privately instead of my child being involved - so if I have to say no then I'm not the "bad guy" in my child's eyes. Just curious what others think...

This cocky musician triggered a huge barfight, by hitting another musician in the face just for trying to set up and plugging in his guitar. (well, he also grabbed him by the balls and pushed him into the Congo Drums first).
Anyway, So in the middle of that, I was really tired and mad, and it was already 4:30 A.M., so, I took off my belt, wrapped it around my hand and THUMP!, one blow to the back of his skull, and we were all square again, and soon we could go home, except he laid out for a long time.
Someone went for ice and towels, others swept up broken glass. Me, I was ok, (except my pants kept falling down).
So funny huh?
