If people really want to believe something they will explain it any way they can. Some explanations are actually very creative but yes no one could possible know what a god sees.

Christians have no idea how God sees things, but you, however, Do??

If I'd answered your question-- I would have mentioned the fallibility of the process of translation of the Bible from Hebrew to Latin to English and other languages. I'd mention poetry and how sometimes words are substituted for purposes of imagery...

I'd mention the limitations of Human understanding. 2000 + Years ago, God could have spent a day explaining the difference between a circle and a sphere and defined planetary physics and all that, and still the Human listener would not have comprehended.

But since I didn't answer THAT question, I'll ask one of you instead...

Why do you feel the need to jab a stick in people's beliefs??
Christians won't change their minds, Atheists already agree with you, and undecided people will just think you're acting like a bully.

Isaiah 40:22 reads: “There is One who is dwelling above the circle of the earth.” The Hebrew word chugh, here translated “circle,” may also be rendered “sphere.”

As for the way God sees the earth, His viewpoint (from the heavens) would be the same as astronauts. You may recall the pictures we have seen - rather looks like a pretty blue (circular) marble. Technically, the earth is an oblate spheroid but we get the point.

Yes, we know how God sees things. He tells us often enough.

The correct answer is that it hadn't been disproved by physics at that point.

And Copernicus, the poor bastard who disproved that Bible verse, was excommunicated.
