a week in Hell before we decide where we want to spend eternity? This is finally a Bible that makes sense, and doesn't expect us to commit ourselves to an unknown place. It is also more realistic in pointing out that with trillions of people in Heaven, it is statistically impossible for God to find time to talk to each of us, even if he were three persons. At last we can all know the truth with this new Bible. I forget the name of it, but I am sure it will soon be a bestseller. Halleluah!

When Jesus was asked what to to inherit eternal life, in Mark 10 his response was this:

10:19 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother.

The Old Testament has 10 commandments, but Jesus only lists five, and adds in a commandment "defraud not".

Do the OT commandments still apply, or does the NT supercede them ?

Hello,
I am looking for an image i am sure i saw in a magazine/newspaper a while ago. It showed an image in a tree of diana's face, as if she was looking down on people around the time of her death.

Does anyone still have this image or know where i can find it.
It was in newspapers and said to be genuine, and unexplained.

Thanks

I was reading something once and came upon a story of pre-Islamic Arabia where a woman mourned for her brothers death, for over 14 years. Then it was said that mourning for more than 3 days is not allowed... since we have to move on with our life, and thank Allah for everything.

I wanted to know if there is a specific hadith or Aya that point to this, directly or indirectly.

Please do star this if your unsure.

The black college football player Ian Johnson just married a white cheerleader but he said that they received many death threats by mail and through other means. Is Idaho that much of a racist state? This young man had to hire security and he prays that prejudice will become a thing of the past. But that is something only God can do. Only God can bring about peace among all men.

Sprinkled in that tripe (btw: nietzsche channeled the demon zarathustra and wrote that garbage while in a manic state, in a few hours) are a few nuggets of hmmmm, can't call it wisdom...Let's see, can't call it truth (for it's only a smidgen of the truth) aha....a few nuggets of: doctrine of demons. In the form of aphorisms.

With all due respect.. Just a question I was pondering...

Do you think you will simply be non-existent.. Have no sense and your soul and body will not move onto other realms?

I know Atheists, essentially don't believe in life after death... But is your reasoning of the soul and body just ending... scientifically poven and such.. since Atheists focus on logic?

*P.S.. Not saying your right or wrong.. just want to see what logic brings you to this conclusion and if there are any of you who DO think your soul will live after your 'bodies' demise....

Thanks

Peace&Love

I can go to the store....I can choose to go to the store..I can choose what I eat, I can choose what I wear. I can choose where I live. I can choose the music I listen to. I can choose any number of things in my daily life...

So why do people want laws that would choose what I can or can't do to my body or who I can or can't marry?

Then when billions of people pray at once, all over the world, how come you all believe that she (God) is only listening to you? How can she be in a billion places at once? Do you get put on hold or in some imaginary queue?

He Who created the seven heavens in layers… (Qur'an, 67:3)

If Mohammad really wrote the Quran then how did he know that the atmosphere is made up of seven layers.

Leonardo da Vinci was a very smart person, but he didn't know Jesus or anyone who knew him, and he lived more than 14 centuries after Jesus' time, so why does it matter that Leonardo had an alternate theory on Jesus and Christianity when there's no evidence that Leonardo had any more information than anyone else. Please explain this to me.

Do morals really come from religion? I think not.

Whenever I ask a question on yahoo regarding my disbelief in religion I always get an essay approximately 2,000 words long from a religious supporter which is littered with quotes from the bible.

These essays usually appear within 2 minutes of me posting the question which would obviously suggest that they have been written in advance of me actually writing the question.

Are there really sad people out there who are sitting by their computers waiting for anti religious questions to appear so that they can post pre-written answers?
