Speaking in general, American teens have awful geography.

In my Spanish class, a boy told a girl that she looked Arabic, and she didn't know what that was (Arab, Middle Eastern) The boy said it meant that she was "like, Indian" Indians are South Asians, they are different races and American teens should know what Arabic is post-9/11.

In my English class, we got to do brochures on any country in the Middle East or Europe...one student selected India and no one realized that India is not in the Middle East.

It's not just teenagers...many people think that Indians are Middle Easterners, that Hindus and Muslims are the same, and that Middle Easterners and South Asians are the same, these people are a disgrace!

Don't get me wrong, I think it would be OKAY to have kids, but then I had another thought. I just don't think my genes and social interactions/etiquette are good enough for the population as a whole to have children. I want to make life easier for myself and improve the world. I don't want to have children that will have any of my defective genes and be raised in a home where they can't have every opportunity to succeed. Think of it as a one-man voluntary, eugenics program.

The chav has replaced the English cockney as the lynchpin of London life.

The cool thing about the chav is that he is a multicultural character whereas the cockney was and is largely a limited and specific type.

And he is definitely and specifically Anglaise. Very London. A great export. A tremendous ikon. Or a vulglarian.

Chavs- love `em or loathe `em. What`s your view?

If in your spiritual beliefs and in your bible, one of the things it teaches you is "judge not lest ye be judged", where do you get the right or the power for that matter to judge others on their beliefs?
Is it not true that sin is sin....? Judgement and Condemnation by you and your followers is just as valid a sin as adultry, murder,etc....
So how will you be judged by your God?

NO! It's because when they get married in America the government puts it on the womans head as a wedding gift. It's a scratch-off to see if they won a 7-11 or a hotel.

I work with a lot of younger women (I'm male) whom I can't help but notice. This one smells nice; that one has a nice shape; & SHE has a nice personality!
I'm never rude or act unprofessional, but I'm self conscious that I I find them attractive.
How should I act? I don't want to cause tension or offense. Give me some specific pointers, please. I'm not looking to develop any workplace romances; I'm simply asking if you would be aware of if a guy finds you attractive, & what would you suggest to help me not send out improper vibes.
Thanx.

Consider the following examples:

a. "God would know me" - What if the individual could simply read your mind through an advanced technology?

b. "God could perform miracles such as raising the dead" - What if "death" as we know it is impermanent and there exists a technology unknown to us that can revive a person. Before dismissing this out of hand, remember that in antiquity people that lapsed into comas or whose heart stopped could be considered "dead" for their time. (Corollary: Was Jesus performing CPR when he revived the dead by "laying his hands upon them"?)

c. "God could/would make prophecy come true" - Similar arguments to the above with the addition that prophecy is often (as evidenced by responses to a Q I asked a few days ago) only interpretable in hindsight.

Please explain to me how *you* would know if the person's claim was true.

I heard this morning on the t.v.(I know) that non-believers were closed minded. How about Christians being closed mind to others that don't believe in there God.I don't mean all Christians just the few that say you are going to hell for this and need to repent. I don't tell others they are doomed for not believing in my Gods and Goddess, why should they?

If a Preacher announced,

"There are 30 ways to get Heaven, this church teaches only one way. So we invite you to stay and learn our way, but do not profess that it is the only way to get to Heaven".

What would you think and what would you do?

Come on people. We have all learned about natural selection (survival of the fittest). This is why humans have strived for billions of years. I think everyone needs to come to grips with reality here. I believe until people are ready to prosecute hunters and fisherman, they should keep thier mouths shut about vick. Anyone every been to a meat packing plant. I dont hear the outrage about how animals are treated there. How about hunting now. Ever watched anyone skin a deer...or maybe have the head cut off so they can display it on the wall. Oh but wait...I forgot, they bought a license to kill for fun. I have a hard time understanding what the difference is in all these when the same end result is dead animals. Once again people, these are dogs we are talking about. I know they are not part of anything that makes it to the dinner table, but they are also not in line to cure cancer anytime either. Bottom line, they are a pet ONLY. Whats your opinion on this.
