Trevor Rees-Jones was the bodyguard to Dodi Al-Fayed. He was badly injured in the car accident that killed Diana, Dodi and chauffeur Henri Paul. Because he suffered a head injury in the crash, Rees-Jones does not recall particulars of the accident. It has been said that he was wearing a seatbelt, but in was confirmed in 2006 that none of the 4 were. Rees-Jones suffered serious head injuries in the crash. His face was literally flattened: numerous bones were broken or crushed. Rees-Jones wrote a book (The Body Guard's Story)
about his experiences.

Other answers have already told you about Trevor Reese Jones but the one who says that Henri Paul once worked for MI6 is wrong. His only involvement with the security services was when co-operating with their instructions when he drove high profile guests.
