Come on people. We have all learned about natural selection (survival of the fittest). This is why humans have strived for billions of years. I think everyone needs to come to grips with reality here. I believe until people are ready to prosecute hunters and fisherman, they should keep thier mouths shut about vick. Anyone every been to a meat packing plant. I dont hear the outrage about how animals are treated there. How about hunting now. Ever watched anyone skin a deer...or maybe have the head cut off so they can display it on the wall. Oh but wait...I forgot, they bought a license to kill for fun. I have a hard time understanding what the difference is in all these when the same end result is dead animals. Once again people, these are dogs we are talking about. I know they are not part of anything that makes it to the dinner table, but they are also not in line to cure cancer anytime either. Bottom line, they are a pet ONLY. Whats your opinion on this.

I forgot to mention, If anyone has interviewed a deer or buck lately to ask thier opinion of what its like to be shot (in your own home), please post the transcript of that interview. You people act like its more humane to kill an animal that way but it really is not. How many of those who have already posted have had a red hot bullet rip through your flesh to leave you bleeding on the ground....confused....you have never experienced this before. Dont tell me you can acurately prove other animals dont go through similar agony during thier meeting with death. or a cow. being taken from its farm all of a sudden, put on a truck..(with less room than we give our prisoners) and shipped off to your death. Sounds a little similar to a concentration camp to me.

If it wasn't for a dog who gave up his pancreas, medicine would know nothing about treating Diabetes, they used to put diabetics in asylums and literally starve them to death...That wasn't exactly humane treatment.
I'm also pretty outspoken about stem cell research. The current government suffers from Cranial Rectosis (they've got their heads up their collective @ss.) What's the problem with using unfertilized blastocysts for medical research? Stem cells can be of benefit to a lot of people by this research. Is this some kind of strategyary bullsh!t the govt wants us to blindly accept?
There is a cure for cancer, but the FDA won't approve it for use, because it would hurt the pharmacologic community because they would make more money from selling treatments than cures.

That's the problem the religious run into when they try to claim that humans are superior because they're intelligent or have emotions. Society has said that humans deserve more rights than intelligent animals. At some point society may decide that intelligent animals should have rights more in line with what humans have, but that hasn't happened yet.

Just want to clear up one thing here... Where I live, we don't hunt "for fun" We Hunt to supply our dinner table with something to eat! If we wanted to have fun, we would save and go to Disney world. I'm sick of people saying hunters hunt for fun, Maybe some do, but they are the minority. you wont find an Animal head anywhere in my home, but you will find a freezer full of meat. Pitting any living thing against each other is wrong, wheather it's dogs, or humans against deer. But the difference is one is for entertainment (which is always wrong) the other is to survive.

My opinion is that you are an ignorant as$hole.
Hunters do not torture their prey before they skin them. They don't skin a deer alive. The goal is a clean shot to a vital area to quickly kill the animal, which is then mostly consumed. Dog fighting is nothing but a gambling sport for a bunch of backwards cavemen that some how evolution left behind. Oh yeah, again, you are an ignorant as$hole.

Experimentation was begun years ago. They already have mixed DNAs from different species to make combined species! Some medicines that cure us of disease are made from different species than our own. There will come a time when humans will be highly integrated into the animal DNA. We need to move gradually into this stage.

The difference is HUGE. People do not hunt or fish for the purpose of inflicting pain on the creatures they kill. Hunters and fishermen strive for a quick kill, a quick and merciful and as painless a kill as they possibly can. Sorry, but there is absolutely no excuse for inflicting pain on another creature in the name of "sport". These animals have the same sensation of pain, the same emotion of fear or terror that we do. Humanity, human mercy, human decency require as much kindness for our fellow creatures as we would hope for ourselves and the people we love.

The atheists may level themselves with the animals as they have accepted that the evolved from the monkeys and apes but epople wioth knowledge and intelligence, no way. Animals are lower in category with mankind.
