If in your spiritual beliefs and in your bible, one of the things it teaches you is "judge not lest ye be judged", where do you get the right or the power for that matter to judge others on their beliefs?
Is it not true that sin is sin....? Judgement and Condemnation by you and your followers is just as valid a sin as adultry, murder,etc....
So how will you be judged by your God?

To start off with, we all judge...regardless of our beliefs or lack there of ....and to try and profess that we do not is a lie in itself.
As for the suggestion to get offline and start reading the bible...let me make this known in the most appropriate way i can.
I have read, researched and tried your brand of spirituality and religion. While it may fulfill your needs, I personally have found it lacking. That does not mean it is wrong...just that it is not right for me.
I see alot of people quoting scriptures out of the "christian bible" (no, it is not mine!) supporting different perspectives.
I find this very refreshing...
And may i add, thank you all so much for not comdemning me to the "christian hell" !

As always...thank you all for answering...
I appreciate all points of view, even if they do not agree with my own.

Blessings and Love to All

Blessed Be

Acceptance is the key.

in the bible Jesus taught that "it is in our mind"!

This is stated as powerfully as He could:

Put these together and you will see how many many Christians error.

Matthew 7:
1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

and

Luke 17:
21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

Attack thoughts and fearful reaction keep a person down.

There is a great deal of difference between evaluation, discernment and the judging of others.

The world often takes this verse (Luke 6:37) out of context and uses it to accuse Christians of being "judgmental" when they speak of sin. In the context of the verse Jesus is telling His disciples not to judge one another, something the Bible condemns (Rom. 14:10, James 4:11). In Luke 6:41-42 He speaks of seeing a speck in a brother's eye. In John 7:24 He said, "Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment." If someone steals, lies, commits adultery or murder, etc., then the Christian can make a (righteous) moral judgment and say that the actions were morally wrong, and that these sins will have eternal consequences. Chuck Colson said, "True tolerance is not a total lack of judgment. It's knowing what should be tolerated--and refusing to tolerate that which shouldn't."

That is very true and christians who judge others beliefs will be judged far greater than ones who judge them, as the ones who judge them know not of what they do.

I believe some christians are insecure with there faith and feel the need to defend it by attacking others.

Some just reach a boiling point where people of other faiths make fun of them and they take it out on the wrong people.

But either way, there is a fine line between criticism and judgement, and most people dont see that line, including christians.

It is something to think about

The Bible also goes on to say that we're to use RIGHTEOUS judgement. So what does that mean? That means that we have EVERY right to tell someone if they're doing something sinful, but only if we've first examined ourselves. And we're supposed to tell the person in love, so that they're not embarrassed, and they don't become resentful.

However, we are NEVER supposed to tell a person that they're going to hell. We are NEVER supposed to give a person the impression that we think we're better than them. Some Christians do that. Others don't.

I'm one of those that tries very hard not to judge people. I might judge that certain behaviors are sinful, but I don't judge the people that do those things. No one's perfect, after all...even Christians.

I hope this answers your question.

We can make spiritual judgments as Jesus did, condemnation is what we are not do do. We are not to assume who will ascend or who will descend because all things are possible with God. We are allowed to make spiritual distinctions and judgments of right and wrong.
We are given a discerning Spirit to help us separate evil from good. Quoting Gods Word is not condemnation, if you ask me what the Bible says about homosexuality, I will tell you what the Bible says. If Gods Word judges you or condemns your actions, I will not be the one judging you, it will be God Almighty who judges you. If I say "All homosexuals will go to hell" I put myself in the position of God Almighty and I sin against God. If I quote scripture, I am the messenger of God. God Bless You...Peace.

As Christians we are not to judge as in condemnation. We have all been deceived and done bad things that deserve the penalty of death. But Jesus paid the penalty on the cross. So we cannot judge others. But there is another kind of judgment that is good. We are to judge what is right and what is wrong so we can run away from the bad and love what is right and true.

Many Christians take great license with Scripture without one bit of spiritual understanding.
Oh! They can mouth the words but there are not in the heart

KRINO = Judge (by the translators of the KJV)

here are the first four meanings before "judge" which is 5th in the Strong's Concordance.

1) to separate, put asunder, to pick out, select, choose

2) to approve, esteem, to prefer

3) to be of opinion, deem, think, to be of opinion

4) to determine, resolve, decree
---------
To make a judgment and condemnation is quite different than what is meant.

To judge and condone is the same process.

---------

To determine and accept or release is not the same process.

Judge- Criticize, we are not to criticize a person that is in the wrong but to left them up in pray to the Almighty God for help. And unfortunately you are right too many of us do this in the wrong way, that is why it is so hard for us to win souls for Jesus. We must be careful what we say and do, because just like we criticize the world the world criticizes us. However I must add Jesus said, that by their fruits you shall know them, therefore if it walk like a duck and quacks like a duck then it must be a duck

You are assuming that I judge - who says all Christians judge? True Christians try not to - however we are human and make mistakes. You are right, sin is sin. That is why I feel remorse and ask for forgiveness for my sins even if they are as "small" as thinking badly about another person or judging their beliefs as wrong.

We will ALL be judged. My job, as a Christian is two-fold:
to tell others that God cares/loves them (will forgive them if they are humble, love God back as best they can, and ask/
seek); Secondly, to help others (and myself) to be better people before God! That is honest! It is not contradictory -
the only thing that seems "contradictory" is that we are still figuring out how to do this AND others who don't believe ask GOOD questions like this to make us think about it and be
stronger - thank you!
