How come Im a male atheist yet without any religion in my life I have managed not to have several differnet partners, and was with my girlfriend 5 years before I got married, yet I see on here so many Christians who have had multipul partners?

Do morals really come from religion? I think not.

No, they don't. Its extremely disturbing to see Christians that think it does. Makes you wonder how many of them would go on a mass murder spree without their holy book threatening them with eternally burning in hell.

Good for you.
For some reason, many folks seem to think that we Atheists are creatures without morals at all. I'm far from perfect, yet I am a basically good person. I was not raised with religion, yet I somehow managed to learn right from wrong for the most part.
Religion can be a great guide for those who wish to partake, but it is certainly not necessary to learn how to live a good and honest life. I know plenty of "Sunday Baptists", who only practice their religion when in church. That said, I know some Atheists and Agnostics who give the rest of us non-believers a bad name.
Religion and morals are not so dependant upon one another as some would like to think. It's all about free will and personal choice.

We go through this life as a stepping stone. We live and learn so to speak and if it takes 100 partners for us to learn what the good lord wants us to know while on our journey through this life then who be anyone to stop God. God is a perfect moral. We as people are not perfect in morals and we have many to learn.God Bless You and have a good day to.

More proof that one does not need religion to have morals. We can do something because we know it is the right thing to do without the threat of the ultimate punishment. A novel concept indeed.

The highest divorce rate in the United States is among Southern Baptists. What does that say about the sanctity of marriage?

Morals are independent of religion. Anyone who really followed the morals of the whole Bible would be locked up pretty soon having stoned to death his children and any alduterers he came across.

I commend your fidelity. While not athiests per se, I have many friends who, like you, are really faithful to their wives. They're also good their kids, friends , family , and countrymen all while not having set foot in church for years. So, as Donna F said, morality is not predicated on religion.

Then you are doing a better job of following moral guidelines that were laid out by religion based ideals than the Christians you are talking about.

It happens

Some of our own people don't possess what they profess unfortunately
