In christianity...you have a God that wants blood sacrifices in the old testament. In the new testament you have a god that needed the blood of jesus to wash away everyones sins. A god that has a talking snake, bush and donkey, A god thats best idea to populate a world was putting two people on it so that their kids would have to commit incest.
So there you have it, a church with blood sacrifices, talking animals and incest...plus countless murders by the god.....what else could you possibly call your beliefs other than a cult?

Probably similar reason why they get upset when their beliefs are called delusional - it's the psychological reaction from people who live in denial about reality.

You can take the Scriptures and twist them however you want! I personally believe in Jesus and I am not ashamed of that! But, I also wouldn't get mad at you for calling Churches a Cult!! I believe that organized religion is bogus and that it all comes down to a personal walk with Jesus Christ!!! No matter what you do every denomination is going to have a "problem" with the other, so I don't see why we need to get into a big fuss over it! Stick with what you believe and let others believe what they want to believe! I am a person that wants everyone to end up in Heaven but, I'm not going to force my beliefs on anyone...If they want to know, they'll ask!!! When it comes down to it You are not going to change anyones mind... You'll just end up in a fight...and if I am correct that's probably what you are looking for!!!

You are basing your assumptions on the writings of dead people from ancient Middle Eastern countries. I don't see many blood sacrifices or talking donkeys today but maybe I'm just not looking.
