All who willfully go their own way must, by necessity, set aside reason and common sense for personal gain or glory.
Excuse -making is the evidence of a stubborn ego hardening its heart against reality - God.

The moment you begin to reject understanding, you become lost in a word-based image dimension where you see words as meaning. Believing into words conjures up the essence of illusion, a feeling of creating or becoming what the word represents. For words to take on meaning and reality, it becomes necessary to respond to them as though they were the real things, so that words begin to act on you as though they were actual environment.
Locked into words, an atheist's or intellectual secularist's ego-identity animal lifestyle grow, based on a spirit of deceit (the serprent's) and fantasy. An invisible will, moving up behind language, manifests itself in a life-form that is totally dependent on the "sound of words" (remember the reflex-conditioning of Ivan's Palov's Experiment ....

So, he can go to a music concert! He asked by e-mail if I could possibly change it. He said that he was "hoping to go" and if I can't change it, "I totally totally understand." He didn't make it sound like he already had tickets as the concert is at a county fair, so I think he was going to wing it and see if he could get tickets the day of.

Is it wrong for me to be upset? My daughter was a preemie. It's a miracle that she's even here! To be putting himself before family to me is just assinine. What say you?

I can't adjust the time, as I purposely planned it in the evening after the dinner hour as it's just cake, ice cream, and gift opening. My sister also works that day, so I planned it to be in the evening so she could come. Ugh....this is so irritating.

This is similar to a question I asked before and can't get a straight answer out of a Mormon. Brigham Young said, "any man or woman, who violates the covenants made with their God will be required to pay the debt. The blood of Christ will never wipe that out, your own blood must atone for it." -The Journal of Disclosures vol.3 p. 247

President J.M Grant said , "If they are covenant breakers we need a place designated where we can shed their blood." -Ibid vol.4 p. 49-50

The sins they are talking about include murder, adultery, stealing and taking the Lord's name in vein.

He was a messenger of God, then said "THE END IS NEAR" or some other lovely hooplah, would you Listen to him or just dismiss him and his claims as crazy and ludicrous...

Keeping in Mind that he looks just like an ordinary person. Nothing special or any distinguishing Feautures that you would take into consideration...and this is just for fun :)

Say I'm talking to a guy named Richard, and then I tell him I'm a Virgo. All of a sudden it will be like Richard saw Casper Ghost, because then he will scream, "A Virgo?!?!? AAAAUUUUUGH!!!" Then he will run off and there will be a Richard-shaped hole in the wall where he ran through it.

So, why does being a Virgo make people scream and run off, leaving them-shaped holes in the wall or door where they ran through it?

I can't stand it when people stop over without calling first. I find it to be rude and gives a complete disregard for both my time and privacy.
The most recent incident happened while I was out working in the garden. I told the visitor that I was sorry that I was busy and it would be better if they called before coming over next time. My (polite) words were met with the most incredulous look from the visitor.
What's your opinion on this? Do you just "drop in" on people or do you feel it shows a lack of respect for the other person like I do? In the past, I would grin and bear the visit, but now that I'm older, I will be completely honest. I have a feeling that many will NOT speak up when they aren't up or ready for a "visit". Thoughts?

“A SEXUAL crisis is tearing at the central nervous system of the Catholic Church,” stated Jason Berry, a Louisiana author who received a Catholic Press Association award for his coverage of pedophilia in the National Catholic Reporter. Regarding perverted sexual acts against children by the clergy, Berry went on to say in The Washington Post:

“Since 1985, scores of pedophilia cases involving priests or brothers have been recorded throughout America and Canada. As a result, U.S. dioceses have borne steep losses in law suits, and insurance coverage for such actions has evaporated. These changes have arrived amid a number of reports that as many as 10 to 20 percent of U.S. priests may be homosexually active.”

The Providence Sunday Journal of Rhode Island states: “Bishops in 29 states . . . have faced claims of damages by victims of sex abuse by Catholic clergy, and the Church has paid at least $60 million so far in judgments and settlements.” In Louisiana a priest admitted to molesting 35 boys and was sentenced to 20 years in prison, although, the Journal says, it was clear that he “had assaulted at least 75 children over 10 years.” And a Rhode Island priest pleaded guilty to 26 counts of sex abuse involving young boys.

An investigation of Covenant House, a shelter for runaway youths in New York City, revealed that the priest in charge had engaged in sexual misconduct with a number of young men and boys. And the Roman Catholic archbishop of Atlanta resigned after it was acknowledged that he had carried on a two-year sexual relationship with an unmarried mother.

A conference of U.S. Catholic bishops received a report on the “catastrophe” of priest pedophile litigation. The 100-page report, states the Journal, “detailed a strategy for limiting the Church’s liability from civil lawsuits to $1 billion [$1,000 million] based on the 30 suits then pending.” The lawsuits are being brought by the Catholic parents of the children involved. And psychiatrists who treat the young victims of these crimes report long-term, often permanent, damage.

God’s Word speaks of such “disgraceful sexual appetites” by which males are “inflamed in their lust toward one another, males with males, working what is obscene,” and adds that the “righteous decree of God” is that “those practicing such things are deserving of death.”—Romans 1:26, 27, 32; see also 1 Corinthians 6:9, 10.

Undoubtedly, much of the problem arises because of the unscriptural practice of celibacy, forbidding priests to marry. Yet, the Bible, God’s Word, states clearly that those in the Christian ministry may marry. As the Catholic Douay Version of the Bible expresses it: “It behoveth therefore a bishop to be . . . the husband of one wife.” (1 Timothy 3:2) And it also states that “forbidding to marry” is an evidence that “some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to spirits of error, and doctrines of devils.”—1 Timothy 4:1-3.

basically i was talking about being 15 and a ccd teacher. several people made fun of me, called what im doing a big lie, and basically laughed at me. they called Jesus terrible things.. and idk.. they basically spit on the thing i believe in and am devoting much of my time to. i take this catechism job very seriously and for people to just say such disgusting comments about it is very disheartening.

ive never cried about this kind of thing. i could not stop bawling for the past few minutes.

stupid comments usually dont get to me but for some reason, these words hurt me so much. im deeply offended, but it was really hard for me to ignore.

I work at a part time electronic retail store and I am at a point where I'm really piss at stupid customers not knowing what they want and destroying properties of the store and even then still would not buy it. Let me explain: I've seen so many customers open brand new packages (lets use a psp game box, or anything that is packaged to illustrate my point) and totally f*cked it up so that the next person that see it would not want to buy it because it's so f*cked up. I wanted to know why they do this so I asked them and this is what they have to say; "I wanted to make sure that everything is in there" or "I just want to make sure it's brand new". I mean come on, are they that stupid. It really pisses me off to the point when I just want to punch them in the mouth for saying such retarded and idiotic remarks. I tell them if it's a brand new item in mint condition, then everything should be in there and there is a description of what is included printed right on the package.

God kills innocent animals in the process of the flood.....
God punishes Adam and Eve by plaquing the world with sin....
God will send all non-believers to hell to burn eternally.....
Once Jesus arrives for the second time and all non-believers plead for forgiveness will he forgive them???
After all, you Chrisitians said he will forgive if we ask him,
so why would he be so unmerciful. Will he be so evil to send all non-believers, good people not believing in Jesus, to hell and burn eternally!!
He let you sacrifice sheep for him!!
Look in to a dogs eye and you will see life and soul no less than that of a human!!
You call this God forgiving and loving???
Give me a break.

In 1832 Joseph Smith claimed a revelation that without the priesthood "no man can see the face of God, even the Father, and live". D&C 84:21-22. So how did he see God in 1820 nine years prior to receiving the priesthood?

Before you say " There is a God" lets assume for a moment that there is no God. You die. If you don't rise from death, then you wouldn't be able to have a reaction. So let's assume you die and rise, and find out there is no God, what would be your reaction?

My reaction: Wow, I wouldn't regret it. I mean, I am dead and I am no where. Still cool to me.
