Does eternal life mean "away from the body and to be home with the lord forever".(eternal fellowship with god)
and eternal death mean "we are forever in the body and away from the lord" we rot in the ground. (eternal seperation from god) what does it mean?

Hi,
I am currently living in Europe and I have tanned skin.
I am thinking about going to Miami next month but I have heard that Immigration officials are extremely rude when you enter the US and if you have olive skin they treat everyone like a terrorist. I would love to visit the US but I have heard other people's stories and the rudness of DHS officiers doesn't seem welcoming at all. If anyone can let me know their opinion that would be great. Thanks.

My boyfriend and I will have been together for four years as of July 31st (ish . . . we don't know the exact date, so we celebrate the whole week because my birthday falls in that week as well).

We've got a kind of crappy anniversary/birthday situation in that we are moving both days. Out of the old place on the 31st, into the new place on the 1st. We'll be stay in a hotel the night in between, I imagine.

So . . . I need ideas! This is the man I will eventually marry (that whole engagement thing is taking a long time, but eh, it'll happen; he's a slow poke some times!). This is the longest relationship I've ever been in. And I've never been happier.

How can I express my love? What's the best thing you've ever gotten for an anniversary?

I don't care if it costs money or not. Just ideas would be good!

We belive that a person should be free to choose their following tendencies and not have them imposed.
As the Romans and other christian religions imposed themselves on the Britains, I believe we were Pagans and Druids before the Romans set foot on this isle, i myself like to be called a tree hugger for my beliefs belong to the earth i was born from and to which i will return. so my question is can a person still be excepted into a Pagan way of life ?

The reason for racism is ignorance. The cause for ignorace is lack of education or just plain stupidity. I understand that. But, why do people just keep thinking that other races are bad or stupid. They're not. Every race has their stupid people. But, every race has their smart and educated people.
And skin color and eye shape doesn't mean anything. That's what happens when we adapt to our environments.
So, will someone please explain to me NOW, why are so many people racist?

I have been doing a lot of research on my own, trying to figure out what the Bible really teaches about God. I tend to believe, much like JWs do, that God the Father of Jesus is an entirely separate and distinct person than Jesus Christ himself. However, it also seems probable to me that Jehovah in the Old Testament is the same person as Jesus (in other words, that Jehovah was Jesus before he was born). I was wondering if any JWs out there could please explain the following similarites between Jehovah and Jesus...

They are both the Savior (Isa 43:3, 43:11, 45:15, 49:26, Hos 13:4, Luke 2:11, John 4:42, Acts 4:12).

They are both the King (Isa 33:22, Zch 14:9, Matt 2:2, 27:11, 25:34, Mark 15:2, Luke 1:32, 23:3, John 1:49, Rev 11:15, 17:14, 19:16)

They are both the Rock that followed Israel in a cloud (Deu 1:32-33, 32:3-4, 1Cor 10:1-4)

Creationists tell me that since I cannot see Evolution happen in my lifetime, then my belief that evolution occurs over millions of years is faith based. They then claim that is why we should teach intelligent design as an alternative to the theory of evolution. Well I have never directly observed gravity. All I have observed is gravity's effects. When I drop something it falls. I am seeing gravity's effects but I am not seeing gravity directly, so therefore my belief that gravity exists is also faith based. So I decided we should teach "intelligent falling" as an alternative the the theory of gravity, you know, since no one can observe gravity. I also realized just now that no one can actually see electricity. So we are going to have to start teaching "Magical Energy" as an alternative to the theory of electricity. So what do you say Creationists, let's all jump on the band wagon and start teaching all these other alternative theories.

I feel that as a Witch and a Pagan I lead a pretty moral life. I don't molest children, unless they are well beyond 21 and want to be molested. I have no problem with sharing my planet with other religions and I have a lot to contribute to my community. But I am judged by Christians based on their unenlighted modern view of modern Witches and Pagans. We don't do missionary work to add members to our religion because we believe that people who need our type of religion will come on their own. The God and Goddess that I worship don't condemn anyone and they are here only to encourage my spiritual growth.

Please don't cut and paste Biblical verses since I believe that if you value a book over someone's life then that book need shelving and a new book written.

I stand out in the open and accept whatever pot shot that you want to take.

1964 - I was in the 11th grade. A senior was going surfing and asked me to go to the beach with him.

Mom and dad were building a waterfall for the swimming pool and their mission was to collect rocks. When he came to pick me up, mom asked, "What beach are you going to? Do they have rocks there?" Yes they did.

The beach was below a cliff. There I was making-out with this guy in the sand and when I looked up, guess who was standing on the cliff watching us? I was very embarrassed to say the least!

Christians often like to tell us "I'll pray for you" when they're losing an argument and they don't have an ontological leg to stand on. I think it's their way of trying to call on divine intervention to help them win a debate they have no chance with when they're restricted to mere logic.

But I think we atheists need a similar little parting shot -- a final appeal to reason when it seems like nothing is going to penetrate their insulating layers of faith, and they have no concept of how foolish they sound. Any ideas?

I'll get the ball rolling here...:

i have many gay friends, but more and more, i notice them checking me out. The worst part is that they have describe their type and i seem to fit their category. Im not saying im all that, but i am uncomfortable that they are interested in me for more than friends. I am a straight male and nothing will change that. Does this uncomfort makes me a homophobe?
