Eternal life (for 144000 co rulers in heaven): Immortality, life without the possibility of dying, granted to those who rule Jehovah's Messianic Kingdom due to his immense amount of trust.
Eternal life (for those on Earth): life without end, dependent upon continual obedience and adherence to God's standards. Those living in the new system can still be subjected to execution for disobeying God's laws.
Eternal death: Sleep, not being alive (at all - period). Obliteration, annihilation, etc.

Both are in a bodily form. Eternal life is spent in the wonderful prescence of Jeus Christ in heaven,
Eternal death is eternal separation from God spent in a burning lake of fire.

In the bible when God breathed the breath of life into Adam he gave Adam the Holy Spirit which made Adam alive in the image of God.
Adam was spiritually alive.

Satan tempted Eve by trying to convince her she would become like God if she ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
So she did and by doing so she died a spiritual death and became separated from the Father.
Adam saw what she had done and because he loved her so much he knew the only way to save her was for him to die too.
So Adam ate the fruit and died a spiritual death out of love for his wife.
Because like begets like all of us are born spiritually dead, separated from God.
If we are left in this state after reaching the age of accountability we will die and forever remain spiritually dead and separated from God.
But if we receive spiritual life and eternal forgiveness for our sins when we leave this world we will go on to live forever in Heaven with our beloved Father.

But personally I think that only those who reject Christ and knowingly remain dead in their sins goes to hell.
I think that people who have never heard about Jesus and never were given a chance to be saved are given that opportunity upon dying.
All of us have been forgiven, sin is no longer what separates us from God.
It is spiritual separation which does.
So upon dying if someone hasn't ever heard about Jesus and were left spiritually dead because they hadn't any choice I truly think they will be given a choice upon dying.

I hope this answered your question.

Since the "Body" took part in the charitable acts or the sinful acts is accepted that the "Body" will receive the rewards and punishments.

It was the "Hand" that gave money to the poor. Therefore the "Hand" should be rewarded with the mind, and soul.

It was the "Hand" that vandalized anothers property. Therefore the "Hand" should be punished with the mind, and soul.

If our deceased loved ones were somewhere eternally, then why would the Bible hold out the hope for a resurrection?
(Acts 5:28,29.. or was it John..)

Originally it meant that people who followed the Christian cult would bodily rise from their graves, and continue living.

In essence, it would make their physical bodies immortal.

After this was proven abundantly false, the followers who came after the first dead ones, invented the concept of an invisible "spirit" that lived on, even though the body died. This lie was not as easy to disprove.
