My next door neighbors are an elderly couple and the wife is on hospice due to cancer. The husband is relativley healthy and still works. I have never spoken to them, just waved from a distance. My husband ran into the gentleman while outside one day. He said he is having a hard time with everything. I would like to give them something to express our sympathy and offer a helping hand. Any suggestions?

"In the 55th verse of Surah Al 'Imran, we learn that Allah will place the people who follow 'Isa (as) above those who disbelieve until the Day of Rising. It is an historical fact that, 2000 years ago, 'Isa's (as) disciples had no political power. Christians who lived between that period and our own have believed a number of false doctrines, the chief of which is the doctrine of the Trinity. Therefore, as is evident, they will not be able to be referred to as followers of 'Isa (as), because, as it says in several places in the Qur'an, those who believe in the Trinity have slipped into denial. In such a case, in the time before the Hour, the true followers of 'Isa (as) will overcome the deniers and become the manifestation of the divine promise contained in Surah Al 'Imran. Surely, this blessed group will be made known when 'Isa (as) returns again to earth."

I would like to read the Quran but I don`t know where to buy it or if it is a true online Quran for free.

I am 25 years old. I was 19 years old on 9/11. It is bad for me to feel this way. Moveon Mike Moveon!! Truthfully I need to think about this ladies and gentlemen. Six years almost...is a while. However my wound is still open and I, well, I am still sad. I am sad no one cares. I am sad that 3,000 loved ones have died and no one seems to notice. Maybe I am wrong. I just hope we all can reconcile under all this partisanship in the country. I love my home. I love were I live goddam it!!!! Can I not say that people?!?! Gees!!!! Sorry....just angry at myself. chaos...to much chaos. Got to turn off the TV. Liberal and Conservativly speaking. To many talk shows that spew propaganda. The Truth is...well Huhhhhh.....God Bless America. Sorry for this frustration I have at the moment. Stand beside her...and guide her. Zealots with religious fervor? I see more devout Christians work harder than anyone else they will get thier hands dirty to get the work done....

Idle hands are the devils workshop....This country was built by the hard working hands of Believers....

But that is a commandment of GOD

Aren't they have the right to do with their life whatever they want like any other regular person has, in the meanwhile don't mess with anybody else?

What about adoption? this is another argument.

Thanks for your opinion.

If you die when you're 78 years old, when you go to Heaven are you your 78 year old self or your younger self? Does it talk about that in the Bible anywhere? I asked my grandmother this, and she said she thinks that you're your younger self...

What if you die when you're an infant? Are you an infant in Heaven? I asked my grandmother this question to, but she didn't know...

Thanks, and no rude answers please...they don't help.

I am doing well at the job,and want to get along. Should I tell her, hey, don't talk to me like that? She is not a boss. What would you do? Thank you for your input.

Don't get me wrong, for the most part I am an atheist as well. Despite my beliefs, I find the Bible to have SOME great historical value filled with timeless morals, yet I see many uneducated answer/comments on here from people who are basing their beliefs on what they HEAR Christanity is about. This goes for any religion, really.

In other words;
Don't critique the film without watching the movie first.

It makes all of us atheists look ignorant and arrogant.

The Bible tells us specifically, to keep yourselves clean and healthy in mind and body. We are also reminded in the Bible, that our body is the temple of God.

However, so many church folk seem to ignore the sin of gluttony and continue right on living in this sin. Eventhough, they know it is unhealthy.

Now, it seems that if people associate with the obese they are more likely to become obese...so, maybe churches breed fat people?

http://news.yahoo.com/s/livescience/20070725/sc_livescience/studyobesityissociallycontagious

Finally, if a person dies fat, will they not go to hell? Fundamentalists say that if we do not turn from our sin, that we will not inherit the kingdom of God....if a person dies fat, they obviously did not turn from the sin of gluttony...your thoughts?

And no, I do not believe this to be true....but, fundamentalists can't have it both ways...interpret the Bible literally for others, but, not for themselves.

I am personally a skeptic, but this seemed like an interesting topic to bring up and talk about.

I'm a skeptic because it all just seems very sketchy, generalized...easy to lie in.

I was extremely heartened to see the HUGE response from PRO-Choicers who respect and defend the right of girls and women NOT to ever again be FORCED to gestate UNwanted pregnancies to term against their will. People who SUPPORT ready access to the vitally-important REMEDY of abortion.

The question had been posed by an ANTI-Choicer who sought support from fellow intolerant bigots for federal de-funding of Planned Parenthood. And the Anti-Choicers got pounded into the ground like tent stakes by the excellent responses that followed. It painted a very bright picture of the *degree* to which sensible and fair-minded PRO-Choicers vastly outnumber the ANTI-Choicers.

And then the question and its excellent answers had disappeared by a few hours later. (But NOT before I had made a *printout* of all of them, fortunately!! ROTFL!!)

So my question is this -- have any of you observed an apparent ANTI-Choice sentiment on the part of Yahoo's censors. Or do you think this was a fluke?

I thought that I got through the raid unscathed. I actually thought I deserved one violation. Instead I wake up to two violations for the same question, which I post again without the "I never." I did tell my little brother how cool it would be to ride down a big staircase in a cardboard box. I was ten and I did blame it on the middle child. What would you do in a situation like this? I was asking about the age of accountability. Besides, my older cousin had already talked me into the ride. I say one was enough, double jeopardy. Do these Yahoos even have a employee handbook on guide lines?
