I see alot of insults and clever catch phrases but not alot of actual explanations as to why someone believes in a higher power or God other than the Bible told them so. I hate trite pat and insult.

I never felt that the Bible proved the existence of God any more than Lord of the Rings proved the existence of hobbits.

God can't be proven. Just like science, one can observe and draw conclusions. I'm still working on my conclusion, but this analogy was intriguing:
If you're walking in the woods and find a rock, you could easily assume the rock had been there since the beginning of time. However, if you found a watch you wouldn't make that same assumption. The watch is a complex device that implies it had a maker. The rock, not so much. Now, is the universe more like a watch or a rock?

If you postulate that your Creator exists, then you can deduce (not prove) some things about the nature of your Creator by looking at your own nature. For example, I know that love is somehow better than hate and justice better than injustice. If my Creator exists, it is likely He put that knowledge inside my head and if He did that, it is likely He possesses that character.

While this doesn't prove anything, it does form a reasonable basis to seek my Creator, even not knowing whether He exists or not.

What happened before the Big Bang? Can Science answer that? Although the Big Bang remains a theory, many scientific discoveries validate it. A recent one is the discovery of Dark Matter. Another is the residual radiation left over from the unique Big Bang event. However, there is no theory that explains what happened before the Big Bang. There are a few weak hypotheses. One says 2 parallel universes collided to make our universe. This is absurd, how can they collide if they are parallel? Also the parallel universe theory is barely a theory. Here is another hypothesis: God struck the Big Match, and lit the Big Fuse of the Big Firecracker...
God is outside of our space-time as we understand it. He gave us free will. If he were to come to our universe and show up here on Earth and say to everyone, "Hey, ya'll i'm here. I made it all. Hurray for me!" Wouldn't that take away our free will to have or not have faith in him?

I don't believe one can "prove" someone's nature, but one can understand someone's nature by studying that person, observing what that person does and so forth. The God that many here are debating about can only be understood by reading the Bible, for this is one of the main reasons God gave mankind the Bible to begin with. It was given to all men to teach them about the righteous Creator that gave them life, and all the rules that go along with that life, and how to extend that life.

God defines Himself as thoroughly as he had to for the men He created, so that certain men, the ones that feared Him and obeyed His commandments could live beyond their mortal years, into eternity.

Your question resides at the very core of life, and if the God of the Bible is the true and living God, then what He says is going to happen, including lots of people ending up in Hell instead of New Jerusalem because they did not believe in His anointed Son, Jesus.

Now to help answer the second half of your question, if you are looking for rock solid, scientific, mathematic, astronomic, physical proof, without the need of Scriptures, then there is only one place to look. It is called the Great Pyramid, it is located in Egypt, and it is God's witness to the world that He, in fact is its Creator.

If you do not want to read the Bible just yet, then research into the Great Pyramid. It will lead you right to the Bible, and the Bible will witness the Great Pyramid, and both will witness Jesus Christ, and God the Creator of all.

You want proof of your Creator, you will find it in the Great Pyramid. But remember, that if is in your mind and in your spirit to find out if God exists, it would be wise to say a prayer (talk to God) and at least let Him know (in case He exists) that you are looking for Him, and ask Him for some help in finding Him.

You cant.
Why at the moment of death is the body flooded with endorphins? Why is this experiance described by people who are dead and then revived? There is no evolutionary purpose for it. It does not help a person live and it does not pass on to the next generation. Only with modern medicine in the last 50 years does anyone know about it. Nature has no reason for mercy. Yet when we pass we are drugged by our bodies and it feels good.
I think its because when we die were going on a trip.

No way to do it> you have to use Faith not proof.
For instance when I look at a building I see a structure built by a species for shelter , just like a termite mound and I can track back the evolution of these organisms to find out how they developed these abilities.
The explanation doesn't require God but does not rule Him out either.

One can not prove the nature and existence of God without using the Bible or someone else's testimony. One can not prove the non-existence or nature of God without using the Bible or someone else's testimony either.

You will be able to prove the nature and existence of God, when either you die or Jesus returns. Why not look for Him now?

Well shucks,,this one is easy too...Go outside and look up....look all around you...look at your body and how complex it all is.... Solar cycles..the tides,,,,if you think this all random chance,,,then the Bible says, you are a fool...I didn't say it....God did..

Romans 1
Amplified version of Bible

Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath showed it unto them.

"For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen [by observing the physical properties of matter; by looking at all life forms on earth], being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

"Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

"Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

"can you make butterflies and mountains?? they didnt just get there by themselves without help!! "
haha! someone does not get the concept of evolution or the big bang. You can't say god exsist because you don't understand something, thats just ignorance. No one claims to know everything or where everything came from, but just because you (we) dont know does not mean a god did it. And how do you know it was YOUR god?
