If God said that all people are His children, but Jesus was His "One and only Son." according to John 3:16, where is the truth in either of these statements?

hello guys..

we're having a debate in our class..

here's the topic..

"role of church in birth control?"

my group is pro-church..

the other group is anti-church.. they prefer using contraceptives in birth control..

but our group prefers the role of church in birth control....

can u give me some info's or any argument or any site so we could defend our stand well and win the debate...

When I am about to fall asleep something keeps zaping me with some kind of electrical charge or something. Then when my eyes are close and I;m just about falling asleep it zaps me and a flash of light apears in the room. There is a lot more than this but what is it?

I just got off the phone with my mom. My grandmother is not doing too well. She is now in a nursing home, but not doing well. I think my mom said her heart is like 40% enlarged, even a simple sneeze will do her harm. She is not wanting to take her medications. The Rabbi told my mom to start making preparations, so my mom is picking out a casket on Friday. So the prayer request is not for my grandmother to continue to live here on earth, but most importantly since I am not in Palmdale, that God will send someone to her so that she can come to know Jesus before it is too late. Please can you help me pray for her to come to salvation before she passes away. Thank you and May God bless you.

PS. Like I said before her name is Evelyn and she is currently in Lancaster, CA. It will be a little harder than most for her to accept Jesus, being she is fairly strong in her Jewish faith, but we all know God is the God of miracles, and the God who saves. God bless.

Is there a Russian name for Count Dracula? I know the Russian word for "vampire" is "vampir," but I need "Count Dracula" specifically.

Ok well I received a lot of answers saying it's against my catholic fate because it comes from saitan but they were all un clear on the subject of good magic. Is this better?
Also can anyone recomend any books or online books on this subjest.
About the whole black magic thing I thought that that was just the way of saying magic but no the type of magic a kidy entertainer use's I have a good belief in god and he teach's to respect all religions as long as I am not harming anyone with my beliefs so if I use good magic I would not harm anyone.
Oh and I don't believe in the devil because if he existed either him or God would be well gone by now they couldn't live in the same universe.

It seems that a few atheists on here are determined to prove God doesn't exist. Why? Is believing in God hurting anybody? When I was little, I had nobody really...my parents were both alcoholics and drug addicts. Jesus was the only friend I had. It helped me, believing in him. In an odd way, Jesus saved my life...at one point in my life, I was very depressed. Suicidal even. But because I believed in an after life, I never did kill myself...I was afraid of what would happen after. I really think that if I had been an atheist, I wouldn't be here right now.

I know this goes both ways, atheists trying to convince believers and believers trying to convince atheists. But, believers do it because they're scared for you...why do atheists do it?

the idea about a white person burning sage in their own house? In our culture not just anybody can do it. Blessing a house, or anything, is done by a spiritual person not just anybody. I'm not prejudice so hold the sarcasm. But, I was curious to know.

I'm curious on who fellow R&S's are--if you're a Christian, have you taken classes in comparative religion or world history and concluded that yours is the only true faith. Or have you just decided your faith IS the true faith without reference to others?

I ask because sometimes it's hard to understand the mindset of some believers here, and it would help to get a sense of how they arrived at where they are today. Thanks in advance!
