Children of religious parents are taught values!

When you make an statement like that, it your responsibility to place the statistic there and where the source come from. It really sounds like you are doing a research paper and wants some one to do your work. Come back with proof of what you are saying and maybe the world will listen to you. At this time I'm not feeling you at all.

Teens usually rebel against their parents, so if their parents are Christian they're likely to rebel against the Christian values. And athiest kids probably know better ways to commit crimes and not get caught, while these kids are more innocent. Or probably because the devil doesn't care about athiest kids and doesn't try to make them have a bad life, and if they're from Christian families and rebel against God they'll have God and the Devil against them because the devil knows they might go back to God...i don't even know if these stats are real, but that's just my opinion if they are true, and i'm basing that opinion on what some Christians believe about the devil

What stats?

most people convert to some type of religion while in prison because: (a) people tend to turn to religion when they are in trouble; (b) most religions make it a point to target people who are in jail for conversion (ever hear of prison ministries?), so that they (hopefully) mend their ways and don't come back.

One reason that there are so few atheists in jail is that there are no organizations trying to actively convert prisoners to atheism.

My smoke detector just went off. Stop blowing the smoke and cite real verifiable statistics.

But, since I'm here....here's your answer: Since roughly 80% of Americans still claim to be Christian (to some degree) it stands to reason that most of the people in prison were raised by "religious" people. So were most geniuses, most politicians, most rapists, most doctors.....get the idea?

I WOULD check out the statistics except for the fact that you didn't put them down or add a link.

Probably because the Devil doesn't attack those he already owns! If they do go to jail, they are more often released early.
check out the statistics!

There are simple other indicators.
1.) poor parents
2.) instable family life
3.) absent father absent mother
4.) drugs , alcohol
5.) gang violation
just to mention a few. Religion is not the main indicator. Do some more proper research.

The trend now is to 'BREAK THE RULES' especially when it is concerned with the law.and the more we tell the kids not to do such n such things,we r in a way tempting them to do that(Whatever the thing may be).

But where are stats??without that i cannot comment more on this

2007-07-25 10:33:04 · answer #9 · answered by Anonymous · 1 0

well because when the kids were little they had very strict rules and than when they are adults they have fun they never had when they were a kid and they don't know how to handle it, so they might go outta line and go to prison. religious parents are crazy. athiest i don't really know, but my parents where sorta religious, but i have lots of fun when i was a kid.
