Not at all. I find life even more dear and rewarding. My identity more distinct, real, and aware. If a person needs religion to feel a purpose in their life then they have a pitiful life to begin with. Religion is a crutch, no different than the alcoholic or the drug addict.

life is beautiful and fun. You can learn a lot and teach a lot. I don't need somebody else to tell me what my purpose is, I can figure that out for myself. I like to read and hear some opinions on it, sure, but in the end I decide, not one book or priest.
(I'm not an atheist but a non-personal pantheist: I think "God" is just another word for the universe. The universe is most certainly worthy of awe, but it did not write one book more than it wrote all the others. so I'm not religious and I think that was what you were referring to...)

On the contrary.
i'm proud i'm not a slave to a contradictory fable.
I was raised very religious, and I saw the whole story very early. I was backstage as an altar boy (never got molested - i'm not pretty enough) and witnessed first hand the skimming of cash by priests who only moments ago sermonized on how thou shalt not steal.
I watched them get boozed up and leave in their Expensive vehicles, which they'd miraculously get a new one every time he wrecked it.
My life is about me and my experiences.
Not ever about a doctrine that is sold to me by people who would never abide by it.
My eyes are wide open, and I love this life.

Not at all. I can clearly focus on this life, which I'm quite sure does exist. I can concentrate on my happiness and the relationships with family and friends.
I can make my own judgements about what I think is right or wrong based upon common sense, not someone else's ideas from many years gone by.

oh i have an identity
i believe in myself first and foremost
my life means more to me without religion
i am not burdened with fear on a daily basis
i do not have to worry about my death throughout my whole life--i am nobodys servant--i can worship life and mother nature--not some commanding man--there are plenty of those on earth!!!

no, you kind find plenty of things in life that will give meaning to it. Things that you enjoy, having fun. I don't need someone with scare tactics to try and make my life have meaning.

There is no meaning unless someone adopts one. Tough, huh? Of course you could default to the Evolutionary motive...make more people, but why?
