I welcome your comments, thoughts, opinions. Many wars have been waged based on religious beliefs, of many different religions except Wicca or Pagan. (That I know of...) Why celebrate a God who asks you to wage war, kill others?

It seems to me that the two have a lot in common:
They are both Non-Trinitarian Christian groups.
They both have zealous missionary efforts.
They both started out around the same era.
They both get slandered for their beliefs by other Christians and cult fanatics.
And, many people mistake one for the other.

So, I was wondering, does anyone from either of these two groups feel any kind of affinity or empathy toward the other?

i knw a friend who has dreams which nearly always come true..(i.e. at least 8 out of 10 times) From the frequency of the dreams, she can more or less predict the happening of these events.

its happened too many times for it to be a coincidence, is there a scientific explaination to this?

What is false religion? Are you distressed about crimes committed in the name of religion? Do the warfare, terrorism, and corruption perpetrated by those who claim to serve God offend your sense of justice? Why does religion seem to be at the root of so many problems?

The fault lies, not with all religion, but with false religion. A widely respected religious figure, Jesus Christ, indicated that false religion produces bad works, just as a “rotten tree produces worthless fruit.” (Matthew 7:15-17) What fruit does false religion yield?

We once had a Citizens Bank credit card. We have not--by their records--charged anything since 2001. We asked them to close the card a couple years latter. We just got what looked like junk mail from them, and I didn't do my usual tear up and throw away thing--I opened it. It was a bill for $29 as a charge for being part of their rewards program, which we have never agreed to and didn't care about because we had closed the account. We had to spend a lot of time to get them to rescend the bill as they said we had not closed the card. If we hadn't caught it, we wouldn't have paid the minimum, and there would have been a large non-payment fine.
PLEASE pass the word to all the seniors & others about this "procedure" being used by Citizens Bank to make themselves more money.

So... I've noticed on here a lot of people making up their own opinions on things who say they are christian. Yet their beliefs don't even agree with the Bible. What happened?

b) accept it silently

c) reject it silently?

d) reject it verbally?

e) other

Witches, pagans, all, what do you predict they would do in that situation?

Only God decides who goes to heaven and who goes to hell.

Fundies wrongly believe that the Bible is the only authority, it is not, it never said it was, it just says that it is beneficial or porfitable as in it might do you good to follow it.

There are other truths such as church history and traditions that are used to bring light to the bible. Without them you are lost and alone in the world.

For an example there are 37000 protestant denominations (as of 1988), why are there so many because they believe the bible word for word (which is sin) and interpret it without the traditions of the chruch (which is sin)

Clearly Jesus didnt want the mess that is evangelicals and rundementalists. They are full of hate and vile, just like Pharissees and heap burdens onto people. they also adore money and while Jesus said to be in but not of the world evangelicals tend to be extreemly worldy while locked inside their own religious bubble.

Seek the truth - head to your Catholc Church

11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age,

13 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,

14 who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.
15 Speak these things, exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you.Titus 2:11-15

I keep hearing Christians telling me about their sinful lives before finding Jesus, then following up with "but it's ok because Jesus/God forgives me!" Isn't that the ultimate karmic cop-out? I mean, yes, you sinned against somebody... you did somebody harm. How is it considered attonement however, to ask your imaginary friend who you already love for forgiveness? If somebody rapes a child and asks Jesus' forgiveness, what does it matter when the child is still laying there, frightened and trembling, covered with your bodily fluids? Isn't this assumption of an all-forgiving god-figure really just an unlimited liscense to sin and sin and sin again... since all these sins are washed away every time you grovel to an unrelated party on sunday? How does one man dying 2,000 years ago somehow justify your raping a child today?
