If its a fashion magazine or a trendy/stylish field, then you could wear the heels to stick out from the crowd. Red is actually the number one color to avoid wearing at work or for an interview. Red is a power color and comes across as alarming and domineering. Even if you happen to be a mild person, red is not a color to wear when you want to make a humble first impression. I'd stick with basic black.

The "Stop" effect can be good IF the rest of the outfit is meshing with the corportate fashion. I usually try to drive by the place and check out the people, their cars, and shoes ... this helps me get to the interview on time and also helps me blend in fashion wise.
