What is false religion? Are you distressed about crimes committed in the name of religion? Do the warfare, terrorism, and corruption perpetrated by those who claim to serve God offend your sense of justice? Why does religion seem to be at the root of so many problems?

The fault lies, not with all religion, but with false religion. A widely respected religious figure, Jesus Christ, indicated that false religion produces bad works, just as a “rotten tree produces worthless fruit.” (Matthew 7:15-17) What fruit does false religion yield?

Well, you are forgetting that that includes those false prophecies of the end of the world and the new heaven and earth.

In 1975 I left the JW's, but I was a little worried because they had predicted Jesus would return and the earth would be destroyed and judgment would begin. I was assured that I would never see January 1, 1976 because they could not be wrong. They tried to dance around the scripture where it says no man knows the day or hour by says that is true but we do know the season and that Jesus would come sometime between September and December 1975.

Are you even aware of your own history?

Blessings in Jesus, Moises:

Your are so correct. God is wooing hearts to receive His great love as manifest in the sacrifice of His Son.

He offered Him to forgive everyone of their sins, and when they ask, He is more willing to give the Holy Spirit than you are to give your child good gifts.

How sad that so many do not make the right choices. Jesus is our Messiah, and He will not by any means clear the guilty. He told the paralytic and prostitute: Sin no more. The lady at the well was shacking. When she asked for the "living water", He didn't give it, but said: "where is your husband."

Yes, God has people in ALL religions, even the pagan varieties. Many have been taught fables from infancy, but God knows His own, and He will call them before the great day of reckoning.

Shalom, Ben Yeshua

You really want my opinion? I doubt that this is true. You probably just want someone to chastise for not believing as you do, but I will give you my opinion anyway...because you asked for it. All religions, especially the organized ones, are just like our world's various governments. They are instruments of rule that are used by the wealthy and the powerful to control the day to day lives of earth's citizens. Now I am not saying that there is not a God, but I am saying that the organized religions, all of them, could care less about god. The thought that God needs to be worshiped in some pagan ritual is ridiculous. Also, the fact that Religion asks for the individual to 'believe' in God, imagine that...believe in what is obvious, is so obviously stupid that it is not worth refuting. Yeah, and about immoral sex; like the catholic church leaders would never go there, would they? The end of false religions will be the end of all religion. Plain and simple. But I imagine that I have probably either angered you or offended your preferred point of view, so you probably want to attack my point of view in religions normal, vitriolic, way.
This is how wars have been historically started between religions. Each one thinks that it is right, while the truth of the matter is that none of them are anywhere near the truth.

JWs are an odd bunch. so optimistic and pessimistic at the same time. their own religion is pretty high up there on the 'false' scale, so this trumpeting of apocalypse seems like it might end up being self defeating. but that's par for the course... i guess they haven't made a big prophetic blunder lately so they feel like they're out of practice... it's 1914 all over again.

You are exactly right.

Religions have become skillful at manipulating scripture. A wonder fun free resource on this subject is below.

Chapter 12 will give a quick sense of the book.

This is a delightful read.... lots of fun.

Yes, yes, yes! It is all to do with false religion. Can we truthfully say that all false religion belong to the father of lies. The government belongs to Satan. Satan runs the government and controls all the heads of government. Politicians are so totally corrupt , they hearts are black and their minds are controlled by demons. They want to keep the Ten Commandments in their government buildiing to blaspheme Jehovah God. The laws they make (abortion, gay rights, to oppress the poor, to kill people, etc...) is all against God and His Ten Commandments. They claim we are "One Nation Under God". Lies! We are a divided nation under many God's. On the money they have "In God We Trust". Disgusting! Money is the "root to all evil". Greediness, corruption, deceit, etc...
Jehovah God have mercy on this Nation, we are a dysfunctional Nation.

If God loves, why is it that churches only love their members!

Any church that condemns all other believers is a false religion. End of story.

"He who blasphemes the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven."

You are absolutely correct, Jesus is coming soon, and He will take His ppl home Sin doesnt go on forever, there is an end to sin. and not only do you just have to watch cnn to see all the Bible prophecy being fullfilled that show Jesus is coming soon, watch most tv, movies, books, read the newspaper, look around your own neighborhoods, what do you see? YOu see what God said the world would be like just before Jesus comes again JEsus came to set us free, yet we accept bondage again. Jesus came to set us free, but most ppl would rather stay in bondage to sin. But, some of us will always stand for Jesus and are thankful to be free of sin and the bondage that goes with it. We can only do that by living like Jesus and doing what He says to do.
False religion is all religion that doesnt teach the full teachings of Jesus Christ in the Holy Bible. all of the truth, not just what ppl are comfy with. we are fully Gods or we arent His at all. Our faith is in Jesus, our hope is in Jesus and He is coming soon. I call that reason to celebrate. amen.
Also did you see where the catholic pope is wanting to meet wiht muslim leaders to discuss peace? Hey, another sign, huh? its all going down as predicted, our safety is in loving and obeying Jesus Christ . I count it all as joy.
