Hopefully a Christian anorexic prays for help when they are not eating which is all the time. I had anorexia when I was 16. I was 5' 2" tall and weighed at my lowest 89 pounds. We all have problems in our lives, things we need help conquering. I pray for all the young girls who have that because it is so deadly and such a self esteem issue. It's sad this society pushes young girls to care about their weight so much that they would literally starve themselves as I did to be thin.

Anorexics are totally about food and about control over their body.
It is too complicated for a short answer in religion.
It does however involve a distorted and delusional view of food and of themselves.
Anorexia is a very serious problem for anybody who has to deal with it.
One of the biggest features is that it involves a need to control life.

I am sorry. I can see patterns in the thinking that are similar.
It is just that after watching a niece try to starve herself into perfection it is a bit sensitive.
Anorexics regard themselves as unworthy and their answer to becoming worthy is to be thin. They consider themselves as sinfully fat in spite of any evidence to the contrary. They know exactly what their weight is and it is always 5 lbs more than perfection and human worthyness.
They are concerned about food all the time as something that they needto conquer or control.
If you want great recipes talk to an anorexic.

Psalms went right over my head, but I did want to say that I have a feeling that anorexia and religion are linked not a treditional religion but very deep.... maby deeper then alot of people go,,I'm not sure on that but,, when in dought go deep not shallow , looks is not what this is about , and the only other being that gives itself so selflessly is,, the religous

I agree - this is a stupid question. Anorexia is a disease - a process that is mental and physical. No matter what your faith, it will kill you.
