ok I had a Jehovah's Witness come to my house wanting me to look at a pamphlet, I took it with a smile and I tried to hand him a pamphlet on Paganism, you would think I tried to hand him a severed hand....just curious, frankly, I like to learn about other religions than my own.

Coby L. - That was one instance but I have had worse reactions from Christians, I was just giving an example of a recent event for the reason I asked
Butterflimoon - And they wonder why we're secretive about our religion...

I'm not a Christian, but I will accept pamphlet's with information on other religions. Knowledge is power - and the more I can learn, the better off I will be.

If you wanted to exchange information, sure. Why not?
===edit===
I'm a Baptist, but I had a similar problem when I tried to exchange pamphlets with a Jehovah's Witness. She took it, but then she came back and slid it back under my door when she realized that it taught a different form of Christianity than what they were used to.

I would accept it. I have many times.
In fact, when I was in Hong Kong and Singapore, I visited every temple that I could find, asked questions, and collected as much literature as I could find.
The same holds true for the many Christian sects that approach me (just as they approach you). I have copies of the Book of Mormon, the New World Translation, issues of the Watchtower, Revelation Seminar invitations from the Seventh Day Adventists - you name it.

Good question! I had a couple come to my door doing just that, except I am Wiccan. When one noticed I was wearing a symbol of my faith, I was called an ugly name. He even spit on my front porch. I just said that I was sorry he felt that way, cleaned-up my porch and sent them prayers of understanding. From that point on, I always checked through the window and chose not to open my door again.

Yes I would take it.It is one less piece of material not going to someone that does not know any better.A jehovahs witness is NOT Christian.I always take their stuff, they are taught to reject ANYTHING made outside the watchtower organization.I have offered stuff to the JW's(after taking their stuff) showing scripture to prove them wrong--they through it back in my house.

I accept all types of information out of respect for others. If they have the courage to stand up for what they believe then I feel I want to encourage them by talking to them. I can always pray for them later that day. Also, by accepting the information I can explain to them my beliefs also.

I personally love reading religious propaganda. There were a set of little cartoon books that I used to have published by the same people who directly contradicted each other that I loved so much.
I am an atheist.

Yes, maybe, no. Depends on my mood. But I always say Thank You or No thank you. People are free to express their beliefs. I might even read it if I have the time. It wouldn't change me.
God Bless.

Yes I would. And have studied other religions. The light is not afraid of the darkness. The darkness however, can't come to the light.

I'd say no thank you since I would just throw it away and they might as well give it to someone else.
I do the same thing for the JW when they come by. I will not change religions.
