When I am about to fall asleep something keeps zaping me with some kind of electrical charge or something. Then when my eyes are close and I;m just about falling asleep it zaps me and a flash of light apears in the room. There is a lot more than this but what is it?

I think these might be synapses firing. Are you under a lot of stress during the day? Perhaps you should see a doctor who specializes in nervous disorders, etc.

I have read that in a medical magazine.
Long time ago, worth checking out with Doc, or just call a Hospital and ask to Talk to a Nurse.
