Who said they are unanswered? No is an answer. Maybe in God's view, what you pray for isn't healthy for you.

I have a friend that prays about everything, and when something happens that she prayed about, she says God answered her prayers. I think most prayers go unanswered, or take a long time before they are answered. We have to exert some effort in behalf of our prayers. I told my friend, people die every day, don't you think they were praying to stay alive?
God is more likely to answer a prayer if you are keeping his commandments and if it is in line with his will and purposes. Everything else is common sense, and if we use it, our daily needs will be provided and we will generally stay out of trouble.

God answers all prayers, but sometimes it's not the answer we want. Maybe you mean, why don't people blame Him when their prayers aren't answered with the answer they were looking for? I'm sure some do. I probably have. But obviously that wasn't God's will. But you have to trust Him because He loves us and knows what's best for us. He has a plan for everyone.

Some of God's greatest gifts, are often unanswered prayers.
It may be cliche'...but, I believe God answers all prayers...they may not be answered in the way we would wish for them to be. But, hopefully through what happens, we become stronger, smarter and better equipped to deal with future issues and help others in whatever struggles that may be.

You can very well blame him for unanswered prayers. Some requests, he will grant. some he won't.
No ones the mind of God and his thoughts are not our thoughts.

I am agnostic but I believe that if there is a God, He/She supposedly wants you to believe in Him/Her by faith. I suppose he could reveal Him/Herself by answering most prayers (some are contradictory. He is not going to eliminate the Israelis from The Holy Land for Islamic prayers when Christians and Jews are praying for them). I think he answered all of our prayers when He/She created this wonderful Earth and made us capable of caring for others. Maybe! O.K. so I'm wishy-washy.

Because God has a plan set out. He doesn't base things on our prayers. He has it planned out. So no matter what we do He will do things His way.
Prayer is used to show obedience and that we trust Him enough to let out problems in His hands.

Because when God doesn't answer prayers it means he hates you.
I'm just kidding. I think God is a gardner and we are the moles and gophers in his yard. If your life isn't ****** up it is because you're not messing with his lawn and he's not tried to put you out.

well a member of the clergy once told me like this.
'god answers prays in three ways. yes, no, wait'
as you can see there is no lose proporsition
because if you pray to the holy roll of solder on my desk then
he will answer yes no or wait
if it happens it was meant to be
if not, he knows best, and will guild you with his answer
if you find it happens a month down the line, he wanted you o wait
see how can he not answer the prayer

Why are you assuming that your unanswered prayers are not answered? Maybe God is not giving you what you are asking because He knows it is not good for you.
