I understand that there is a lot of contravorsy regarding some aspects of the Runes and Rune Magick. I'm hoping to find some good books that are accurate and don't list contravorsy as fact.

The Bible states inProverbs 18:2, that "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit."

Can you believe that my mom used to read this psalm for my father everytime he hits her. I really dont think she realized what she was doing. But she actually reeked havoc on our family, Literally!

Thank God I escaped through Jesus.

I started reading the same psalm out of curiousity and had to stop because it was very scarey. I certainly wouldnt wish these things on my worst enemy!

Here's a part of it, read and see for yourselves
6Set thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan stand at his right hand.

7When he shall be judged, let him be condemned: and let his prayer become sin.

8Let his days be few; and let another take his office.

9Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.

10Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places.

Gay taxpayers pay the same State and Federal taxes as a single heterosexual taxpayer, but we do not have the same rights or get the same benefits. Since we are not allowed to marry, we should get a Federal tax credit and a State tax credit in each State which does not allow us to marry. Where we cannot adopt, we should get a State tax credit. Since we cannot serve our country in the military, we should get a Federal tax credit. I'm sure we can all think of other examples. If gay American taxpayers don't have the same rights and benefits as heterosexuals, we should not be required to pay the same taxes. Once we receive equality under the law, we should also have equality under the tax code.

I was at the hospital this weekend when a man i had never met before approached me and started to talk with me. The conversation turned toward the Lord and His love. Eventually this man advised me that he was a minister. He said he had come over to talk to me because God had told him that i was his brother in Christ. He said God had told him that I would be a minister, and asked me what I did for the Lord. i said i write poetry with a Christian message and I write and sing my own gospel songs. he said God wants me to persue this and give it to the world so that it may change lives. I was almost in tears. I was amazed that God would send a message to me like this. I need to know where to start, please advise me. What do you think?

I just met a SDA and she told a little about what they believe. They worship on Saturdays, because that is the 7th day. And the seventh day is when God rested and called it the Sabbath. How do we know that our seventh day is the original 7th day? Wasn't it a long time before we started keeping track of time? I genuinely want to know the answer to this question. Thanks for the help!

Relax. My dad says they had it in for Harvey comics in the '60's. They published Wendy the Good Witch,Caspar the Friendly Ghost and (worst!) Hot Stuff.Dad still has his whole collection.
Why are atheists so obsessed with fundies? Why would you care if they do or do not like books for kids that have magic stuff in them? So they don't like them, and? What's your point? Are you folks all just a'cravin' the approval of fundies? I'm a Catholic and I couldn't care less what they think. As far as being good copy, that they are,but this stuff comes and goes. Nobody even remembers the stink they made about Hot Stuff. What's your issue on this one/ You think they're obligated to like some kid's book? Why? They like it or not, just like you.

Please don't state your personal opinions; I would rather have the stances of churches and religions. Is it more important to be part of a specific religion and attend church, or is it more important to just be a spiritual person and have beliefs rather than follow one religion? Is one religion better than another? If so, why is that?

After all everyone hates Satan, so in a way, when you are yourself hated, and the suposedly Christians can't tolerate you either, isn't Satan a very nice bloke after all, someone you can relate to?

The more I read about curch history and look into catholic doctrine the more I get the impression that they are right.

Its difficult because the Catholic Faith is certainly more of the narrow road and not as "easy" as the others.

I am starting to go to Mass and have ordered a study guide on the mass. Further I was raised catholic so I am more returning home.

I went to evangelical churches, read the bible 20 million times etc, but yet I find and I could be wrong, I found the churches very shallow, lacking debth and in some cases I think well meaning people mistake God for too much caffiene.

So are there people who have left the evangelical movement and finaly found God in the catholic church.

And if you are just a fundie then I think you better skip to the next question. Everything you can tell me I already know, every bible verse, every quote, every snippet of information you have I could replay back

Thanks for all the response all "good" advice is needed.
