It is never disgusting and old people have good sex lives. Your grandparents might not do it as often as they did when they were teenagers but they still do it and enjoy it immensely.

Did you really need to start that sequence at 40?
Anyway, now that I have recovered, I would suspect that as long as both partners are close in age that it might not be disgusting even at 80

It depends on how physically able you are by then. I'd say it doesn't really have an age. If you're going to tell everyone about your sex life when you're 80, they're going to say it's disgusting. As long as you don't say, noone has to know.

It depends what age you are....teens would find anyone having sex over the age of 25 disgusting, people in their 20's would find over 40's disgusting and so on..... over 70 is more a health issue i think!

Sex is never disgusting... Unless both people are really ugly, fat, or both. So if they are really old, but not ugly, it's alright. Except when you're old and you're not hugh heffner you don't really have a choice so you have to have sex with other old people. In conclusion, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so to the two ugly people having sex, it can be a beautiful act, despite the fact that anyone watching might vomit.
