Gods own heart. Wouldn't it had been awesome if one of us had been the one mentioned? Wow..And Sunny Girl was a girl after Gods own heart...It doesn't sound as good, but I like the concept.

Yes it would be great to be called by God people after his own heart. That is not impossible for born again believers because God has given us new hearts and his Holy Spirit to make us more like Jesus.

There is this song regarding David... I'll post it in the end....
One of the things that really endeared David to the Lord's heart was that David. in spite of his failures would always return to the Lord. Out of all the people in the bible David also had a heart for what God wanted.
In those days the presence of God and what He was doing was in the Tabernacle... This was protable and not a fixed place. David saw the way that God's dwelling was and felt compelled to build a house for God. Not one that was moveable but fixed. One where God can feel at home. This tabernacle was a " Type " of the church in the New Testament.
So out of all the dear ones in the Old testament.. David cared for a place for God.
Recall How David swore/
I'll NOT go up to my house/
Nor Go up to my bed/
Give slumber for my eyelids/
Until I find a place for Thee/
A place Oh Lord for Thee/
Our Mighty God desires a Home/
Where all His own may come/

GOd loved david and said he was a man after His own heart because david sort what was on God's heart.. A house to call His own amongst His chosen people.
Today we can be the davids of our time..God is building His church .. he is building a dwelling place for Himself in spirit..may we give of ourselves to build with the gold silver and precious stones.... substances and material that are all CHRIST in us. May we build up one another with our words of life.. encourage eachother to press on.. To go on in the Lord day by day and give the Lord His builded Church which is His body on the earth!!!

In primitive Judaism, it was normal practice for ALL patriarchs and Jewish kings to be the chosen of God, priests were the chosen of God, Messiahs were the chosen of God, and now Bingo!... The Pope is the chosen of God. There will not of course be any more chosen ones as all the top jobs are taken .
