I'd like to think so, but a reality check tells me there are many things out of my control that can have an impact on my life.

One of the things I wonder about...a lot. This is what I have come up with so far. Ultimately we make decisions based upon the current environmental stimuli that we detect. So it would seem that we are in control. Yet this begs the question, if we are presented with the same circumstance (I mean every possible variable) would we choose the same decisions. I lean to the thinking that we would. So there for we are not in control.... But I really don't like that answer.
As for those who say life is in the control of the christian God, will also have the same problem (if not more so) in reconciling free will and predestine. If God is to know all, and all outcomes, then how do you have freewill?
This is really a great question.

I always THINK I am in control of my life, but I KNOW that I am not. I continue to learn and do my best to go with the flow of the energies that surround me, for I cannot control any of it. I can only experience it.
Control without control control you say? There simply is no other way.

I'm not in control (at least not totally) of the situations I find myself in, but I can control how I react to such situations.

I'm learning to control my life.
I asked god to drive but he's to agoraphobic.
He keeps waiting for me to get over my road rage.
Blessed Be!

I am. I believe in god, but he gave us free will for a reason. Life is our most precious gift and it wouldn't mean nearly as much if we ween't responsible for ourselves. In my opinion anyway. It's entirely possible to be religious and not use it as a crutch.
