when everything points to us being an animal ourself? I know creationists don't want to be classed as anything to do with a monkey but you can see the similarities can't you? If someone said we looked like penguins I coul understand the disbelief.. Also you say men are sinful by nature-doesn't this also fit in with animal nature-survival? Have you noticed that a lot of animals seem to play a lot when they are young and slow down as they become old?
Aren't we just the same but with more intelligent thoughts possibly? Thoughts that enabled us to create the god myth?

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2Ti 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
2Ti 3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
2Ti 3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
2Ti 3:6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
2Ti 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
2Ti 3:8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
2Ti 3:9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all [men],

Many answers will verify it to be accurate.....

The words of the blessing of Enoch, wherewith he blessed the elect and righteous, who will be 2 living in the day of tribulation, when all the wicked and godless are to be removed. And he took up his parable and said -Enoch a righteous man, whose eyes were opened by God, saw the vision of the Holy One in the heavens, which the angels showed me, and from them I heard everything, and from them I understood as I saw, but not for this generation, but for a remote one which is 3 for to come

not that generation...but a remote one....like 5000 years later....this generation.

If so please explain about it.

I was raised a Christian by my parents when I was a little boy and I'd remember hearing people in Churches my parents went to talk about miracles they have seen. One person claimed to have seen a deaf man be able to hear again. Another claimed that a man without an eye got "healed" and was able to see even with a glass eye.

Whether these are true I will never know but I am going through a stage of questioning all religions and my purpose, if any, why I am alive.

for killings and massacres all over the world and throughout history???
In ancient Greece people had rights, homosexuality was not a crime, there was no slavery, women had rights and a voice in government, afterwards christian faith appears and it leads the humanity to slavery, massacres of those who were different, women were unimportant part of society...
In what way is christian faith a good thing for humanity?
What is right about jesus dying for our sins if you and your beliefs are making a hell of life in here???

A girl I know who is a hairstylist got a job at a salon. I don't know the owner, I do know another girl that works there. The girl that got the job burned my friends head and made her hair fall out. She mixes color with water to make the color lighter (thats stupid, you just use a lighter color, I am a hair stylist as well) After she quit where we worked together anyone who was dumb enough to let her cut their hair came to me to fix it. All their hair was a hot mess, nothing was even, a lot of the women had ended up with mullets. My question is, is it my business to make sure the owner of the new salon knows the things she does? Should I just let it go and let them find out for theirself? I really am worried that there will be a lawsuit. If I was in the owner's shoes I would want to know.

I just got news that one of my roommates won't be in the dorm living on campus, There were 4 of us, now 3, I don't know if campus housing has put another kid in the room.

I'm debating on whether to get my fam to leave real earlier when move in day comes, so that I can hopefully stake out a single room.
Should I try it? Or should I call res life and see what's up, see what they are going to do?

Also should I contact the other 2 guys to see what they are bring, if anything, so none of us are bringing double things, or not enough?

Does anyone have a link to the actual document that the Pope released that has non-Catholic Christians upset?

All I have seen is the news reports on the document and they all contradict Catholic teaching which states:

The Church knows that she is joined in many ways to the baptized who are honored by the name of Christian, but do not profess the Catholic faith in its entirety or have not preserved unity or communion under the successor of Peter." Those "who believe in Christ and have been properly baptized are put in a certain, although imperfect, communion with the Catholic Church."

Why not consider all that the Almighty has done + can still do.

By trusting God in trials we learn what He can do in our lives

----------Though weak and helpless in life's fray

-----Gods mighty power shall be my stay

----------Without, within, He gives to me

-----The strength (G R A C E ) to gain the victory

Has anyone on board ever asked for and received reinstatement because of a past offense that's now ok in the "new light?" I'd love to hear how it went and how they made you word your request so it sounded like you were still wrong and they were being merciful.

Astronomers have found evidence for the most distant galaxies ever detected.
The galaxies are seen as they existed just 500 million years after the birth of the universe. Their light, traversing the cosmos for more than 13 billion years, was seen only because it was distorted in a natural "gravitational lens" created by the gravity-bending mass of a nearer cluster of galaxies.
"Gravitational lensing is the magnification of distant sources by foreground structures," explained Caltech astronomer Richard Ellis, who led the international team. "By looking through carefully selected clusters, we have located six star-forming galaxies seen at unprecedented distances, corresponding to a time when the universe was only 500 million years old, or less than 4 percent of its present age."
The universe is estimated to be 13.7 billion years old, so that puts the newfound galaxies at 13.2 billion light-years away. A light-year is the distance light travels in a year, about 6 trillion miles (10 trillion kilometers).

I just can't understand this: If everything started with God, then Satan, came from God as well? It doesn't make any sense. If God knows what everything will happen in the future, then he knows that Satan will devour the world, why would God create such a creature?

Most religious people have some sort of experience that they believe involves God (or Gods) touching their lives. Reason seems not to influence that interpretation for most people.

Does the reduction in rational thinking stem from (1) emotions conquering reason and (2) an overwhelming desire to recreate religion's emotional experience?

I have atheist friend (sorta) who has torn up bibles, burned them and no joke wiped his **** with its pages. I told him he disgusted me and now he says that i'm not a "true" atheist because I respect the bible. I told him he was more zealous than most preachers in the worst way and now we do not discuss religion. The story is really secondary to my point but should we respect the bible? It is clearly a work of fiction but it is an amazing book and the OT is one of the oldest books known to man. I still enjoy reading it. I would no more burn the bible than i would a copy of the illiad or moby dick. Can't we as atheists respect the bible without worshipping it?
