In ancient Greece people had rights, homosexuality was not a crime, there was no slavery, women had rights and a voice in government, afterwards christian faith appears and it leads the humanity to slavery, massacres of those who were different, women were unimportant part of society...
In what way is christian faith a good thing for humanity?
What is right about jesus dying for our sins if you and your beliefs are making a hell of life in here???

Christianity did not create massacres throughout history man did, all of these things you speak of are mans doing, it really has nothing to do with Christianity or even believing in it, religion was nothing more than an excuse to massacre because some did not believe, they would do it today if they thought they could get away with it, it's really ironic how people have this insatiable need to blame something when it's been man that creates all of this religious crap, I have been a catholic now for almost 70 years and it just amazes me how much religious insanity there is in the world today.

1 - Just because someone kills in another person's name, does not mean that person wanted their name to be used to kill. "How could you stay in a country that killed people for you to selfishly have freedom?" Do you see the same thought?

2 - it was the romans who came into Greece before Christians did. And slavery was well accepted by them. As for the women part, I don't have enough info for you about that. I would think that Greece adopting principles about the treatment of women poorly came from many places in Asia. I am not even sure how the Romans treated them. And I am not sure that the Greeks treated them right.
3 - Millions of people have been fed and cared for in the name of Jesus. Sometimes you have to realize that for every bad person claiming to be Christian, there are 5 more who do good. But guess who gets talked about most.

God gives us freedom of will. Jesus came as a fulfillment to gods word, the church has been misused by many,Jesus is not a religion its a faith and belief a hope. Humanity does bad to humanity god doesn't do it he gives us the free will to do what we do. Turning our backs to the word of God is the problem. Ive heard the bible puts women down is far from the truth men do that the Bible states that men should treat women as they do the church, men do they walk all over the church misusing scripture for their gain misusing women for the same. Is that the bible or Gods fault? Or is that men have severe issues(women also) that apart from God(Thur Jesus)there is no hope. Don't worry they will be judged at end of days as I will and as you will for unbelief. Jesus was a messenger telling of Gods fulfillment of a promise, That whoever believs in him(Jesus)will be saved and spend eternity with him,but again its a personal decision, men reject the truth even though it is right before their eyes. Atheists I would hate to live in your world its empty and filled with hopelessness.

Oh, my do you have a skewed understanding of history. Have you forgotten the people fed alive to lions while others cheered? It wasn't the Christians that did that. Have you forgotten the women who were devalued and used as prostitutes in the pagan temples? Have you forgotten the women and children who were sacrificed as offerings to the gods?

Yes, there have been many who have killed in the name of "religion." Fewer who have killed in the name of "Jesus." Many inventions and scientific discoveries that have improved living conditions have come through Christians who desired to make life better in the here and now as well as in eternity. Those who truly follow Jesus understand that he prayed for God's kingdom "both now as it is in heaven."

Even Christians who have been lamblasted for owning slaves often treated those slaves as valued employees or family and made every effort to improve the lives of their slaves in a time when freedom for their slaves wasn't an option. It isn't popular to teach about the slaves who actually loved their masters and chose to continue to live with them after they were freed by law.

Study the life of Christ and you will see that he raised up women to a higher place in society. He didn't hold them back or push them down. Those who really follow Christ understand this.

Communism was designed as an attempt to make a perfect society by eliminating God. How well has that worked at improving the lives of the people? the rights of women? The Christian faith, as it's meant to be lived, is a far better thing for humanity than a godless, secular society.

many situations atheists are a lot extra effective people than theists. Theists carry forth love, compassion, kindness and all such stable characters. yet in prepare they're some distance at the back of regular people in such features. This difference in words and deeds makes it very sparkling that there is not any ability of God with the words of those theists. It means they are like atheists or maybe worse in maximum circumstances. a minimum of atheists do no longer take the call of God in ineffective. they only stay the existence they comprehend making them actual to their existence. there is not any hypocrisy. incredibly the theists' hypocrisy has lead many from theism to atheism. The help atheists have is the meaningless existence of theists in front of them. The unseen ability the theists carry forth is a powerless ability interior the sight of an atheist and we can not blame them for that. If the theists stay to what they carry forth, then the entire international would be distinctive. in basic terms stay, do no longer carry forth. Our modern-day preachers are the enemies of each faith. Christian are the enemies of Christianity and Christ. Muslims are the enemies of Islam and Mohammed. comparable is the case with all different religions. What we can do right here? in basic terms the respond is "stay". enable your existence initiate out of your inner soul.

I believe that the Greeks had slaves long before the christians got involved. So please make sure you don't blame the Christians for what already happened.

As far as how it's good for humanity. Let's see, in modern day...Red Cross, Salvation Army, Operation Rescue, Operation Blessing, Operation Christchild, Save the Children...churches are sending workers to help with cleanup for Hurricane Katrina, Habitat for Humanity, Loaves and Fishes, Rescue Missions, Appalachian Outreach and that's just the ones from the top of my head...need I go on????

Sorry I disagree with almost everything you said.
Christ taught slavery and massacres and that women were not important?
The atonement and sacrifice that Christ made is for your eternal salvation.
Sin equals death but God provides the gift of eternal salvaton by paying the debt of sin which is death for you.

yet again, someone is confusing the actual teachings of the Bible with the way selfish man has twisted them to his own needs.

No one can read the gospel (the whole picture) and say that what it teaches is hateful or wrong. If we all lived the way Jesus told us to live, we wouldn't have all the problems that we have today.

Unfortunately, we're human and we make mistakes and some people like to take a couple words or verses out of the Bible that they can twist around out of context to justify their own evil desires.

Christ is the prince of peace. Don't blame christianity for all the wars and killings. Those are entirely man made.
