I just can't understand this: If everything started with God, then Satan, came from God as well? It doesn't make any sense. If God knows what everything will happen in the future, then he knows that Satan will devour the world, why would God create such a creature?

God created Satan as an Angel. Most people forget about that. He was considered "The most beautiful of all the angels", but he committed the most heinous sin. He exclaimed that he was greater than God. Unfortunately, humans are the only creatures that can repent for their sins, so he was cast out of heaven and can never go back.

Obviously their god is not a powerful and wisdom god. He made a mistake to created human who do not obey him. This religious is according to the timeing and human senses to write the Bible. He made the hell and the heaven that means he had already knew that his products will be disobeyed him and punish into the hell. he put us as toy or tool and do not care of our feeling. I was a christian when I was young. There were so many question come out about the bible. All the stories in the bible cannot reflect the nowaday situation. Since I read Budhaist sutras, I found what I want.

Most of our "why" questions in regards to God have no real answers. Job tried to ask God "why" in terms of suffering and evil in this world, and God answered that there is no way for man to comprehend the mind of God. His answer was basically, "Who do you think you are to question the God who created you?"

What God has told us about how he thinks is this: God wants those who follow him to do so out of their hearts and with their free will. In order to have that, it seems, he must allow for his creations to choose to go a different way instead as an expression of their free will.

We know too that God has given Satan free reign in this world for now (he will not, however "devour the world") as part of his plan to see who will live by faith and choose to follow God, and who will choose to go his or her own way. God holds back his wrath in this time of "Grace" because "he is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." There will be a time, however, when God will bring an end to human history as we know it and all will stand before him in judgment. Satan then will be bound for eternity.

Why? That is a question you will have to ask God for yourself when you stand before him some day.

Translation from the original Hebrew into other languages, including English, turn the word that originally means "adversary" in Hebrew into the word "satan" in English. There are a lot of misunderstandings about the Bible due to mistranslations, such that "Adam" was a single individual, but the original word translates from "mankind".

God never created Satan man did, Satan is a mythical creature made from the minds of men to put fear in the hearts of men so they could be easily controlled, man created all kinds of creatures and demons, no where has God said he created such things.

What God did create was every creature but with the capability of making choices. When someone wants to be with you because he/she wants to instead of because they have to and have no choice, it shows their true love and integrity towards you. Same with God and the creatures(including us)..we have a choice...He leads us...but ultimately we are the ones who decide with our own heart and soul what we really want. We have created our own destiny through the choices we have made...just look at your past...you are the one who created it by the choices you made..Satan made the choice to rebel against God...God let him go to do his own thing...Satan lost...everything....we still can make the right choice for our own lives..

Ezekiel tells us that God created Satan with a seal of perfection...then unrighteousness was found in him.

God can and does use Satan...even in his evil state. For instance, in Revelation, Satan is bound for 1000 years then released, for God had more purpose for him. Then Satan will be thrown into the lake of fire forever.

Predicting the future choices made by persons with freewill is impossible. what hasn't happened yet does not exist and is unknowable, even by God. Future predictions refer to events that are under God's direct control regardless of any decisions made by us. Otherwise god would be responsible for evil. for the true account of how satan came to exist and the beginning of evil you need to read The Apocryphon of John. Be smart, believe Jesus, not Moses.

God seems to have two "projects" that we are aware of . . .

1) the free will of angels. . . and the result of their choices
2) the free will of human beings . . . and the result of their choices

These two "projects" became intertwined when Adam and Eve listened and chose (free will) the suggestions from the (free will) fallen angel, Satan.

BTW: Satan was originally Lucifer (which is/was a nice name, means: most beautiful) when he was serving God, before he chose to rebel. (free will)

The only way satan can harm anyone, though, is if they refuse to avail him or herself of the protection that God provides against the evil one. All we need to do is repent of our sins and renounce them and God will grant us everlasting (spiritual) life.
