Nope. It only becomes sin when it seems to be leading you away from Christ, and/or you are replacing God with the music.

Depends on what the music contains and why. And how mature you are. There are a lot of heavy metal and rock Christian bands, but do I personally listen to Led Zeppelin and Ac/DC? Well Led Zeppelin I do, but I really don't like AC/DC lol. I like Metallica (doesn't everyone), and a little aerosmith, and well most of all music.

I am a christian and I don't have a problem with rock or heavy music if it gives glory to God. Bands like AC/DC and Led Zeppelin do Not glorify God. Bands like Disciple, Skillet, Pillar, Falling Up glorify God in their music.

What people seem to forget or just don't know is when lucifer was an angel (before he fell) he was in charge of music. So, don't u think that's one easy way for him to win souls for his kingdom?

I mean come on, what do u really think highway to hell is all about? or hells bells I used to listen to all that stuff before I was a christian and praise God, He delivered me.

I'm not trying to sound harsh, I hope I'm being portrayed like that. I apoligize if i am. Thanks May God Bless You

I'm a Christian, and listen to rock and metal. I don't think it's a problem. Maybe you'd want to consider avoiding any songs with lyrics that feature outright blasphemy, but otherwise, I don't see the harm in it.

All beauty and creativity ultimatly comes from God. He creates Art and Music and all that is good in the world.

In the bible God is called the father or the heavenly lights from which every good and perfect gift comes.

So in short I think its fine. Again if you are looking for crazies to say its wrong you will of course find them.

I remember one pastor once telling me that ACDC were wrong becuause the lightning bolts sybolized the fall of Satan.

I think God likes rock music but I know he aint into Rap.

there's a great form of sturdy rock and roll music out right here, a great form of heavy steel to boot. you will possibly be able to desire to be selective on your alternatives. Deep crimson is a sturdy occasion with their music "Hush", very problematical and rapid yet not insulting nor evil. besides the indisputable fact that ... Black Sabbath? The band's call says all of it. AC/DC has a attractiveness for sexual innuendos' and that would not sound too sturdy. however the Beatles have some great songs like "the day gone by", or "help" and there is not something incorrect with them. hear to the lyrics. I grew up with "The doors" and that i remember paying for their albums whilst they first hit the industry, and a similar with a number of different bands. yet now i won't be in a position to take heed to Morrison. If he decide for's to get away with the aid of to the different area then he can go do it on his very own. i'm not following him. usa music has plenty with regard to the situation between husbands and better halves. the difficulty is that the better halves and the husbands are married to different women and adult males! have you ever listened to a number of the classic Operas? Incest and homicide and affairs of the incorrect type. Then there is the jazz music, some sturdy tunes yet then what are the lyrics to maximum of them? it isn't the fashion of music that is undesirable however the songs themselves. you will possibly nicely be circumspect on your alternatives and edit your music by utilising retaining the sturdy songs that have not have been given any poor motive yet basically tell a narrative or sing of tangible love. Even people songs have a great form of poor music to boot. yet once you %. and choose wisely you are able to fill a library of music with all styles of manufacturers and bands. it is like ingesting alcoholic drinks. The sin isn't in the wine or the beer, the sin is in the abuse of the beverages. The sin isn't in the fashion of music yet in the songs you opt for to take heed to too. KISS isn't a popular band of mine yet their is one music that I continuously enjoyed from them, in basic terms one out of all their music. A music approximately Beth and the band prepare. it quite is the only one. i'm advantageous you are able to toss a great form of your music out the door and nevertheless have some sturdy music left.

Ms Lady touched on the truth there - So often, people have the misconception that sin is only stuff that is specifically aimed at "doing bad things". A better understanding of it would be if we saw sin as "missing the mark".

Songs don't have to be about killing or raping or drugs to be sinful - any songs that do not glorify God is sinful.

Wrong? No.
Beneficial? Probably not. And Paul asks us to concentrate (fill our thoughts) on what is good and nobel. So, you can listen to it, but also think about what messages you are feeding your brain with. And, are those positive or negative?

I cannot believe the ignorance of people. I'm sorry but Ms Lady, are you saying Beethoven, Mozart, etc etc are devil worshippers because they didn't sing about god? I'm almost speechless by your statement.
