Several years before I was saved before I was saved a very prestigious doctor diagnosed through testing that I had a serious obstruction in an artery in my neck. He said it would probably require surgery before long. A couple of years after that I was visiting my mother in her home several hundred miles away. I was a bitter opponent of Christianity, but as I sat watching television in my room one night I felt something seem to grab my neck and I felt this warm power flowing into it. I don't know how, but I KNEW it was God and that he was healing my neck. My mother later told me she had been praying for my neck at a prayer meeting that night. I had the neck checked again 3 or 4 years later and the doctor said the first one must have made some kind of mistake. There were no signs that I had ever had the kind of obstruction his report indicated. I have seen other miracles as well but this one is quite special to me.

630- it is a sturdy checklist for spanning many imprecise and strange international locations. in case you do in contrast to subtitles, do no longer even start up. There are some long videos in there (Shoah- a 9 hour documentary related to the holocaust, Berlin Alexanderplatz- 15 a million/2 hour mini-sequence, Satantango- 7 a million/2 and extremely sluggish paced), and a few are impossible to observe (Too Early, Too late, has under no circumstances had a launch everywhere ever), in spite of the undeniable fact that it is a sturdy checklist. Many omissions however. BQ: i could advise each action picture Empire magazine has given 5 stars to. I even have considered 500/six hundred and that they have a extra helpful hit fee then maximum lists. Even titles like 'Excision', 'The shop' and 'Berberian Sound Studio', that have low IMDB scores (5.8-6.2) are truly great videos. in case you're into jap cinema you will desire to observe the Kinema Jumpei ideal 2 hundred. 0.5 of the checklist is impossible to realize with eng subs, yet each action picture I even have considered off it is great.

If you are doubting the claims of miracles your parents and their friends at church saw, why would you find any comfort from random people on Yahoo claiming they saw a miracle?
A miracle is simply anything that we cannot explain at the present time. Key word is present time, miracles are usually a matter of historical context. Someone gets miraculously cured from cancer and we don't know why so we say it was a miracle. Then 100 years later we find out the scientific basis of cancer and realize that wasn't a miracle after all.
No, I don't believe in miracles as acts of God intervening in our lives. Certainly there is plenty of phenomena we can't explain but that doesn't mean it was a miracle in the traditional sense. Remember we used to think the Sun was pulled to the underworld by a Ra's chariot at nightime so pardon me if I just admit we may not have all the scientific answers yet.
Ironically I think it was the concept of miracles that started my questioning of religion so I can see where you are coming from.
My three biggest problems with miracles:
1. Always applied after the fact. When I was a young child my Dad nearly died from cancer. He always attributed his survival to prayer (never mind the 3 surgeries and chemotherapy). However had he not survived my Mom would have instead said that God wanted him in heaven. Pretty convenient that when a good thing happens we give credit to God, when a bad thing happens we also justify it with God wanting them in Heaven.
2. Every religion has people that believe in miracles so they all kind of void each other out. Muslims strongly believe in miracles as do Christians, Hindu, ancient egyptians, some sects of Buddhism, etc. So here you have people of different faiths, each claiming fervently to have witnessed miracles, yet they claim the other is lying. Seems to me that they are all mistaken.
3. Miracles have (surprise) decreased in frequency as our knowledge and understanding of the world grew. Now miracles are rare and typically regulated to fundamentalist evengelicals who in my opinion are arguably one of the most ignorant "faiths" out there Rife with corruption I don't see how anyone would doubt that people like Falwell wouldn't stop at using a plant in their audience to perform a staged miracle. These types of zealots believe the end justifies the means so of course they wouldn't hesitate.

My wife attended an Assemblies of God church before we met. She told me that she had seen some healing experience including hearing, blindness healed, and arm growth. I had questioned it, but she is a very honest person.
In my ministry, I was privileged once to see an angel. I consider that to be a miracle. I also prayed with a young women with cancer. The doctor had found the cancer and given her a short period to live. After the prayer, the doctor indicated that the tumor had disappeared and he had no explanation for it. Her cancer did return a couple of years later after I had left. But she did live cancer free for that time.
It is alright to question your beliefs and religion as well as your purpose in life. Each of us must do that. It is an important part of growing in the faith.
I would encourage you to talk to your religious leader. They may be able to help you work through some of the questions you have.

There are many instances in which I prayed and received miraculous results. In one instance I prayed to be able to create a certain work of art against difficult odds. Everything worked out. Another time I prayed for assistance with getting a job. It worked out. Another time I prayed for relief from a terrible debt- over one hundred thousand dollars. I know its hard to believe but that situation was resolved. Were these coincidences? Maybe. Does God always respond to prayer? No. But sometimes it seems to work in miraculous ways. Anyway, I encourage you to question everything and to come to your own conclusions. Independent thought is wisdom. Its more important to find the path that is true for you than it is to figure out whether or not you believe what somebody else says.

Hmm, I haven't.
However, this is no proof of any religion in particular. For every Christian miracle, there are miracles in other religions, and hopefully you aren't buying into that 'all religions are the same' nonsense. I don't feel it proves ANYTHING, really, but if we pretend it proves God, that certainly doesn't mean it's anyone's specific God.
That said, I'm open to experiences. I don't reject God completely.
Oh wait, here's a miracle: I broke away from my hateful fundamentalist Christian parents.

I have been witness to miraculous healings at Ernest Angely outreaches..I remember we were talking to a mother of a young girl who had a "wandering eye"..after going up for prayer, came back to her seat and had been healed...A very intelligent friend of mine, who had been having serious bouts of depression and thoughts of suicide, was also prayed for,and never had a suicidal thought,again..gave his life to God and is now married with 3 children and has a Christian wife
I have experienced personal miracles, such as,the time that I prayed for a single coin(dime) that I was in need of,in a hurry...a dime appeared in my hand(true story)...shook me up a little....Miracles still happen and will be on the increase as the end of the age, approaches.. I believe that the "glass eye" miracle that you mentioned, actually happened in my state, of Florida. I have even heard of spontaneous regeneration of Limbs(though I have not witnessed,such)..The miraculous should be happening in every branch of the body of Christ. God still works in the miraculous...miracles did not end with the early church.
