other than believing Jesus Christ is the Son of God that died on a cross for my sins? I mean of course THIS is necessary; but if I continue to read on, will I find that there are OTHER things required of me, or is THIS IT?
I have a bible right before me. Is there ANYTHING else that I MUST do in order to have etenal life.
Opinions have their place; but I need "Word of God" in THIS matter.

Didn't they learn anything in school. Nothing can be predicted by the bible. Even a science book that a 6 year old can read on their own can be used to make predictions i.e. what the moon will look like in the coming days. How come religion can't do that? Oh yeah because its not real. Please only respond if you are an atheist because religious opinions are worthless and backward like the myth of the skygod that their perverted minds try to push onto real people as true. Thanks yall.

I confess that I do, they are wrapped up so tightly in belief and faith and fear and ignorance. Reading their posts here, some chaps clearly have nothing else to 'love'. It's the dad in me, I guess. Sometimes I feel like giving a parental hug over cyberspace and saying, 'It's just a boo-boo, it'll hurt only a second or two.' I know this sounds wacko and that some of my fellow unbelievers are sharpening his or her tongue this very moment, but it's true, I honest to gosh feel that some Fundies are like little kids waiting for their turn at the dentist's chair--fear that an invisible being up there in the sky will be angered and slam shut heaven's door. What a shame, what a loss to miss the joy and galloping fun of life for a god that does not exist.

i personally cannot believe how someone could think like this. firstly, your life is a gift from Him and should be treated as a gift. YOU are the most beautiful thing to Him; he is the reason for everything that you have and can do. He wishes no hate or pain or suffering upon anyone for any reason. He wants you to evolve and grow towards him. He loves you above all things. FOR EXAMPLE JESUS WAS BRUTALLY MURDERED SO WE WOULD HAVE A CHANCE TO SEE GOD AS HE ALWAYS WANTED US TO. if you think that you are able to do things because you are evolved over millions of years you are wrong. just because it can be proved w/ numbers doesnt mean He isnt there. Who calculated all those numbers? last time i checked rocks werent smart enough to do that. plus, maybe scientific explanations are just another test of our faith; maybe it is our choice to believe in God but He will never stop having faith in us; to me thats enough.

My mothers spirit keeps presenting herself to my best friend. My best friend is like my sister and has always been apart of my family. My mom past of cancer two years ago and my friend keeps telling me my mom speaks to her and tells her to make sure she is taking care of me. I myself have never felt her spirit at all since see died. Any insight??

when you hear a word or name spoken on the radio or tv and at the same time, by coincidence, you see the word on a sign, truck, or in print on whatever you are reading? This happens to me on occasion while I'm driving or while at home with the tv on and reading the paper or a magazine. There has to be a word for this. If not, any suggestions? And has this happened to you before?
I posted this in "Words & Wordplay" too but I know there are some very intelligent folks here in R&S that I thought might have some ideas. Thanks

religion is an organized way of worshiping someone or something, do you agree? that being the case shouldn't your religion be pleasing to God? why? because he is the one who gives everlasting life. Not ALL RELIGIONS ARE ACCEPTABLE TO HIM

The last polygamist Mormon president died during World War II. Hmm...not that long ago Mormons! But then the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter Day Saints is one of the newest churches as well as the only church in America to embrace and condone polygamy.

No other church has embraced polygamy. Brigham Young makes Henry VIII look like a real Saint! In the Catholic church Saint is a title of honor and not merely a name attributed to just anyone. The Roman Catholic Church is the original Christian church founded by Jesus the Christ himself whilst these other churches were founded by men and the teachings of man rather than the teachings of God. Jesus is God, Mormons!
