If I ever made a biblical allusion, I would end up portraying the idea that I believe in something that I don't really believe in. (I'm an atheist.) I've thought about this a bit. I mean, there are definitely benefits to making biblical allusions. They're popular and a standard allusion like mentioning Eden or Judas is something that most people would get and does set a good base for comparison. On the other hand, I suppose we also have to think about what we want our story to say. Should religion play a part, or is it better for it not to? If it does play a part, is there a purpose to it? And if it doesn't, is there a purpose to that? And does it even matter? I think these questions are different from writer to writer and even from story to story. For me, it does matter. But I'm still not sure about these biblical allusions. I do like some of the stories in the bible and I find the idea of alluding to them pretty attractive. As for my political beliefs... not really. While religious beliefs have a lot to do with literary devices and even the poetry of the story, political beliefs have more to do with plot. Obviously, a character might believe something I don't, but that character might not always be the protagonist. What's important about writing, and art in general, is that it gives a method for self-expression, and I take that pretty seriously. When I write, it's kind of like I'm standing on a soap-box, in a way. I don't know if that's good or bad, but golly does it make me write! But yeah. The answer is: Maybe I would write against my beliefs. Interesting question!

Well, to be very honest with you, I believe that #2, 12 & 13 are still unresolved. I'm not to keen on the alien abduction theory, but that does not prove that other beings don't exist somewhere else in the Universe. Both Reeves and Monroe died under some mysterious circumstances and there were a number of people who would have like to see both of them gone. But, hey, that's just my opinion.

i ALMOST agree 2 all of those. Number 10 Jack The Ripper might have been a million differant things at 1 time. But I do think in the NEAR future someone will confese on knowing who he was. Then the world will know! But if u belive differant then that is okay in my eyes

I am not against your beliefs, don't worry :)
I guess all of them are more or less grounded, but I wouldn't say I agree with the 1st point here, specifically, about the existence of Hell. According to my Bible it should be somewhere below, but we have Underground there... And if you go lower and are lucky you have oil etc. there. So, maybe it doesn't exist at all?

2. yes. i find it very hard to believe that the inhabitants of earth are the only ones in the intire universe. i understand we may be the onyl ones in our solar system or even galaxy but with a numerous number of galaxies out there in our constantly expanding universe it seem almost impossible to me that we are the only ones
