Please note that I am not asking for anyone to tell me negative opinions on other people's religions and why you didn't choose theirs. I only want to hear the positive points of your own and why you chose it. Everyone is welcomed Christians, Atheists, Pagans, Muslims, Hindus, Agnostics, whatever you are.

"You cannot view this question at this time" means someone has singled you out for blocking. Any thoughts on the type of person who does this?

Isn't a hotel a temporary "home". Without a person or animal with me, I cannot fully enjoy the accomodations due to my disability.

It wasnt Jesus be cause there were 2 individuals one on each side of him & earlier people were put to death that way so it wasnt him & its in the Old Testament. i'll give answer to someone in 3 days if no one finds it. to post the answer for me if i cant do it ok lets see who get it...

Electrical stimulation of the right angular gyrus make some people feel the presence of God. Atheists see this as proof that God does not exist, claiming that God is just in our minds.

(My dad died a couple years ago, that's why I'm saying just from my mom).

We want to get engaged by the end of the year and get married a year or so after that. We've already discussed the rings, wedding, kids, finances, living arrangements, etc. We know we're ready for the commitment; it's just down to one thing... Asking my mom... I know she'll say yes, but I think it would still be a really nice, polite, and respectful thing for him to do (and she'll really appreciate it). But he has no idea how to go about bringing up the topic to my mom, where to do it, etc.

How did you (or your boyfriend) ask for the "blessing"? How long before the proposal? Should he buy the ring first and show it to her (show off the rock and also to show that he's really serious)?

[We've been together over 3 years, after being best friends for almost 6 years. We know we're meant for each other. That is not part of the question, so no lectures about being too young please. Just answer the question at hand.]

Ok, lets say you want to see your boss at work or teacher at school and his/her door is open and there is no one else in the room and they are staring at their computers..

Do you have to wait infront of the door, so they look at you and say "come in" or can you just knock the door saying something like "Good Morning"..

I need the American Etiquette..

Thanks.

The First Law of Thermodynamics says that matter and energy can neither be created nor destroyed.Essentially this means that the conditions that we know hold true in our present universe prevent any possibility of matter springing out of nothing today. To say that no new matter is being created today is to agree with the Bible’s statement that"the heavens and the earth were finished"(Genesis 2:1)that God"rested"from His work of creation(2:2)The Second Law of Thermodynamics says that the usable energy in the universe is becoming less and less.Essentially this means that things eventually"wear out".The universe is not eternal;it had a beginning, and it will eventually wear out. Two-and-a-half-thousand years before the birth of modern science, when the brightest thinkers were confident that the universe was eternal, the Bible said that the universe would"wear out"..the heavens are the work of Your hands. They will perish, but You remain; they will all wear out like a garment (Psalm 102:25,26).

I think the ghost in my home smokes marijuana... I know this will sound insane but sometimes at night I can smell it coming from the basement... do you think it's possible that even in the after life a ghost can do drugs? Any advice of ridding the home of it too?

First of all I'm an atheist.

Second, I believe religion to be devisive and the excuse for lots of world and social problems

Third, I think the world would be a better place if people had to explain their actions without the exuse of devine inspiration from a supernatural entity(ies).

So, I will say up front - I cannot explain every thing in the world - there is loads of stuff I don't know, absolutely buckets of the stuff! But given that why on earth would I beleive in a supernatural super-entity(ies) to fill in the gaps in my knowledge, and isn't it even a little bit strange that most societies have some sort of mythology to explain these mysteries and yet none of them seem to have developed the same one?

Go on, someone come up with a LOGICAL argument for their deity/deities.

Finally, in the absence of a sensible argument, and here's my motivation, if one person decides to question their supernatural beliefs - great stuff, welcome to the enlightenment!

I just can not even get excited about it, and what is in it for you? I mean..........noise, polluted air, wasting money, and watch cars going circle......but it is THE NUMBER ONE sports (?) in AMERICA. ONLY in AMERICA........the rest has class and history for F1. Why America has to be so different from the rest all the time regardless of quality? Hmm.

I've had the worst luck ever when it comes to the friends I have and my family..I gave my mother my apartment while I went to go rent a room from a friend, she couldn't keep up with the payments and ended up getting evicted out, so now I have an eviction on my record, yet my mother blames me for the apartment, I have a 13 year old half sister, and she walks around here calling me "B@$! and takes my ipod's to school, goes in my purse, and my mother does nothing, I helped bond my brother out of jail, a few months ago, I'm not rich, and he never pays the money back he owes me for bailing him out....I call my grandmother to talk to her, and she sympathizes with me, and I ask her to help me get a reference to get into an organziation, from a family member, and she ignores my calls,.even my dad ignores my calls, I invited him to my graduation and he didn't return any of my calls I feel so alone, how do I stay strong? I 'm a nervous wreck, my hands shake, I feel bad about myself.I need help?

Also why is there so much division within Christianity? By that I mean why is Christianity split up into Protestantism and Catholicism? Why is it broken up into Fundamental/Conservative, Evangelical, and Liberal Christianity? Why are there so many denominations? What does it matter what section or denomiantion a person is or isn't? Why does it matter how a person interprets scripture or doesn't interpret scripture? Isn't it all about accepting Jesus Christ as lord and savior and nothing else? Aren't we all supposed to be brothers and sisters in Christ? What would Jesus say if he saw all of this nonsense that is going on?
