I am totally out of the loop of the way kids talk today, being an old lady of 32 and all... can someone please inform whay exactally does being EMO mean??

Doesn't mean anything to me, sounds like a lighter version of the gothic culture that started in the 90's with hard rock/gothic music. I have no clue how you "be EMO" or why anyone would want to. When I was in school you were either a Headbanger, Wigger, Jock or Prep, depends on what part of the country you are from, but based on movies those still seem to be the majority of kids in school today. I'm 31 myself and don't care what teenagers think or do, I'll worry about it when my kids are teens.
