I am afraid they have been looking for the Messiah for four thousand years, and for the return of Jesus two thousand years.
The Jews missed the coming of their Messiah because they did not understand all their scriptures, and the Christians have been expecting the immediate return of Jesus because they have not understood all of their scriptures either.
It will be soon, I promise.
It will not be soon enough for many Christians, and too soon for many Atheists.

Well first of all don't forget about Noah! they laughed at him for a hundred twenty-five years then all of a sudden it rained. But the Bible says until the Gospel has been preached around the world. and some bible scholars are projecting the next 25-50 years. some even projecting 2033 that's how long Jesus lived upon the earth.33 years.

Jesus was around only 2000 years ago. thats it. China has been around for about 4000-5000. If a day is like a split second to God and Jesus, then i guess he will be coming back in a few minutes.

Patience is a virtue. And Christ's followers have been preparing for His return, ever since He told them that He would come again. But seriously, no one knows the day or the hour of His return, and that is why we should always be ready living the best life we can... Following His example.
Sorry you do not know the joy of life in Christ.
God Bless.

true that.
i live in the south-eastern part of USA. and back in the mid- eighties, and alot of the god fearing christians were convinced that the end was coming. so they started closing down there business on sundays ( you know, because working on sundays will cause you to go to hell)
well, needless to say, the end never came.
and what strikes me as odd is.......those same businesses again started being be open on the sabbath day.
whats up with that?
