I think the ghost in my home smokes marijuana... I know this will sound insane but sometimes at night I can smell it coming from the basement... do you think it's possible that even in the after life a ghost can do drugs? Any advice of ridding the home of it too?

Well, I don't know about drug use, but i completely understand the haunting of your house part. You need an exorcist. It's the only way the ghost will leave. Your other option is to just get to know the ghost and get on with your life. I rented a few apartments before i found this area, and in all of the apartments i rented, there was a presence: and in every one, they made themselves known. I'm one of those who was born with a bell over her head so a spirit or anything of that sort cant go without me seeing or feeling them, All I do is just go on with life as if I'm the only one here because truth be told, I am the only one here. They cant touch or harm you. If its just a spirit, you're fine. But once kitchen cabinets get to flying open and doors start slamming, call your neighborhood catholic church and have a priest come prey over your house because that means it's more than just a spirit.

P.S. You could read the 23 psalm for comfort at night.

And consider yourself gifted because not everyone has the ability to sense presences. I'm sure you'll realize that when all the rude comments are posted beneath this one.

The idea of smells and aromas associated with the spirit world is one area which receives little consideration. Maybe you're onto something worth documenting. Keep a diary as to when this happens and where. Perhaps a pattern can be observed which "ghost experts" can use in their research. Very interesting indeed.

It's not unusual to smell a scent from a ghost... Perfume smells or cigarette smells have often been reported during hauntings.

You might need a medium or a priest to exorcise the ghost.

In my former life I did snuff (coke) and was killed in the war between the Colonies and Great Britain.

We in the after life can take care of that ghost. Get the name and heaven ID number. We will handle it.

A rather haunting question.

dah dude

First off ghost do not give off odors, Only demons(fallen angels) have that characteristic.. You should also know that material like bricks etc, in a damp area can absorb many different odors.. And they can hold on to those odors for years to come....... And no ghost do not get high and nor do they enjoy the same thing in death that they did while they were alive...... Also not all ghost were alive as we know at any time...... Now as for spirits they are a totally different entity all together.... But I will not try to explain it at this time................................................................................................

Your ghost may not be smoking pot. The odor may be a skunk. Certain types of "hits" they make smell the same. (In fact, where I live, there's a certain type of pot called "Bridgeport skunk" since that what it smells like.) Just a thought....

hmmm...maybe at one time people smoked pot in your basement. it could be what's called an imprint where something that took place in the past plays over and over.
